❤️ This Month’s Chosen Charity: Wotton Swimming Pool ❤️

Every month, the staff pick a local cause close to our hearts, and this month we’re incredibly proud to support Wotton Swimming Pool.

Wotton Swimming Pool is a fantastic community asset that has been serving local families for generations. Run largely by volunteers, the pool relies heavily on donations, fundraising, and the dedication of local people who give up their time to keep this much-loved facility open for everyone to enjoy.

Thanks to a percentage of our sales, plus generous donations from you lot — our amazing customers ❤️ — we’re delighted to have raised:

The money has now been passed on to help support the ongoing running and future of this brilliant local facility.

This month, we’ll be raising money for the Long Street Summer Social, taking place on 30th August. This fantastic community event is organised entirely by volunteers and brings Wotton together for a day of entertainment, activities, local businesses, and community spirit. We’re delighted to be able to support an event that does so much to bring our town together.

As always, thank you for eating with us, supporting local, and helping us give something back to our local Wotton-under-Edge clubs, groups, charities, and community projects every single month.

Sorry for the short notice but the morning sessions tomorrow (Monday 1 June) have had to be cancelled due to staffing issues. That's Adult 9-10am and Adult/Preschoolers 10-11am. Our apologies.

More Children's Swimming Lessons are now available to book – 6 lessons for £30.
They are half-hour lessons on Saturday mornings from 13 June to 18 July for beginners, intermediates/improvers and advanced:
• Beginners will use the shallow end of the pool. It's 1 metre deep, so your child must be tall enough to be head above the surface when standing on tip-toe
• Intermediates/improvers must be able to swim a width easily and will use the deeper parts of the pool and normally swim widths.
• The advanced sessions will use the whole pool and usually swim lengths
Children must be at least 4 years old. Parent/guardians are not expected to enter the water with the child. Based on experience and the capability of the group, we might need to change the level for your child.

Sorry for the very short notice, but we've had to cancel this afternoon's 3.30-5pm session due to Lifeguard shortage. The Lane Session at 6pm will go ahead as planned.

AQUA AEROBICS We started these sessions last season and they proved very popular. This season we’ll be running two blocks of 6 weekly sessions.

The first block (Friday, 24 April at 11.30am weekly until 29 May) is now available to book on the pool website here : https://wottonpool.co.uk/classes. The cost is £36.

Due to pool space constraints, there will be only 15 places. We regret that we cannot accept people arriving at the pool on the day in the hope of getting in to the class. The sessions will be guided by an experienced leisure industry specialist. You'll be in-water but no swimming is required.

The second block (in June/July) will go on sale nearer the time.

Wotton Triathlon is on Sunday 5th July, raising funds for Wotton Pool and having fun.

Good news. The Pool will be ready to open on Wednesday, 1 April.

Initially, until 10 April, sessions will be limited by Lifeguard availability to :
• Lane Swimming 6-8pm (weekdays, pay on the gate)
• a few Party Bookings

From the weekend of 11/12 April until 24 May, there will also be
• weekend sessions
• weekday afternoon sessions

Then the full Summer program starts from Monday 25 May.

Aqua Aerobics. We started these sessions last season and they proved very popular. This season we’ll be offering two blocks of 6 weekly sessions. The first 6 from Wed, 29 April and the second 6 from Wed 11 June. They will be bookable via the website in the near future.
