🔥 Wragby Fire Crew Update 🔥

Back in November 2024, Wragby Fire Station was operating with just four crew members.

Despite the challenges, the commitment to maintaining a safe and effective service for our community never stopped.

Fast forward to June 2026, 18 months later and we are proud to share that the station has now grown to a team of nine dedicated crew members.

This development is a real reflection of progress, resilience, and continued dedication to strengthening our service, station and ensuring we are ready to respond when our community needs us most.

We continue to train and develop our crew’s skill sets, ensuring every member is equipped, confident, and prepared to respond effectively when our communities need us.

As the station continues to grow, our focus remains the same:
🚒 Providing a reliable and professional emergency response
🔥 Supporting fire safety and prevention in our local area
🤝 Engaging with and serving our community

We’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come, and even more excited for the future as Wragby Fire Station continues to develop and strengthen its service.

A huge congratulations to CM Gledhill on his successful promotion to Substantive Crew Manager! 🎉

CM Gledhill had been serving as Acting Crew Manager for some time, consistently showing professionalism, leadership, and dedication to both the crew and our community.

Following the successful completion of the promotion process, we are pleased to see his hard work formally recognised.

This development on station also strengthens our overall ability to continue delivering the highest standards in emergency response, prevention, and community engagement.

🚒👏 Congratulations Firefighter Smiley! 👏🚒

Today we are proud to congratulate Firefighter Sam Smiley on successfully passing out and reaching this important milestone in his firefighting journey.

This achievement reflects the dedication, commitment and determination Sam has shown throughout his training. Despite the long wait to secure a course place, he remained focused, attending drill nights consistently and continuing to develop his skills every step of the way.

His perseverance has paid off, and we are delighted to officially welcome him as a Firefighter within the crew.

Sam has already proven himself to be a valued member of the team, and we are excited to see him continue to grow in the role, as he serves our community alongside the rest of the crew.

The time is almost here for our first car was of the year! In aid of the amazing Fire Fighters Charity ! 👨‍🚒

Be sure to pop down between 9am and 1pm on the 28th of March to get your car washed by the crew here at Market Rasen! 🧽

What an incredible day at our National Car Wash! 🌞

A huge thank you to everyone who came down, supported us, and donated – your generosity blew us away.

Thanks to the amazing support from the community, we raised an incredible £1,083 for the Fire Fighters Charity 🎉

Not only that… it was a record-breaking day for the Wragby crew, raising the most we’ve ever raised at a car wash! 👏

We’re so grateful to everyone who popped by for a wash, stopped for a chat, supplied us with food/drinks or made a donation.
Your support helps make a real difference to firefighters and their families when they need it most.
