📢 Gwenfro Valley Session Update 📢

Just a quick update to let everyone know that there will be no Sunday sessions at Gwenfro Valley for the next few weeks, including this Sunday.

Instead, we'll be running an extra session on Fridays, starting next Friday from 4pm to 6pm. 😊

This will be a trial, and we'll use attendance and feedback from the children and young people to help us decide whether Fridays or Sundays work best. 😊

Next week's timetable:

Monday to Friday: 4pm - 6pm
Youth Club (Friday): 6:15pm - 8pm

Thank you so much for your continued support - we'll keep you updated! 💚😊

We've been remembering the long hot summer here at Gwenfro Valley and we want to thank everyone at Liberty Group for donating school uniforms, play resources, art and craft supplies, food for our summer celebration and lots and lots of sun cream! ☀️🕶️📚✏️
Thanks to Vinnie and Jed for building our pantry cupboard and fitting an outside tap! A really big thank you to Rachel who brought her husband and daughters to volunteer at the summer party.
And a really big special thank you to Karen who organised everything and everyone! Karen - you're a star! ⭐️😁🛝🫟🎨

Young people have really enjoyed cooking over the last couple of weeks, making everything from fresh fruit smoothies to delicious cupcakes. 🧈🧁🍥

It has been a great opportunity for them to develop their confidence in the kitchen, learn how to use equipment safely, and enjoy one of their five-a-day through the smoothies they created. 🍇🍋🍌

Most importantly, they have had fun, shared their experiences with friends, and enjoyed being creative together. ⏲️🧑‍🍳👩‍🍳

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Please be reminded that children should not wear their school uniform when using the adventure playground. 🛝⚽️🎨🫟

We recommend that children wear suitable, comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear, as the activities may involve climbing, running, and playing on equipment.🏃⛱️☀️❄️

Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us keep the children safe and comfortable while they enjoy the adventure playground.

Playday was enjoyed by many this year, including the adults! Everyone had the opportunity to get creative by colouring in the van, showcasing their artistic skills, or simply writing their name. It was lovely to see everyone getting involved and sharing their creativity. We enjoyed seeing all the wonderful artwork! 🎨🖌️🖍️🤩🎨🌅☀️

Wrexham’s official bid for UK City of Culture 2029 has now been submitted - and we couldn’t be prouder to support it. Play has shaped this city for generations, and it’s amazing to see it recognised as part of Wrexham’s cultural story 🙌
