It's a Community Litter Picking Day tomorrow , Monday October 12th ,followed by complimentary refreshments and a chat at the Community Hub in the Parish Room. If you are willing to volunteer to help keep Overton-on-Dee Community tidy meet me outside the Village Hall at 1.30pm.
With some money from a grant from WCBC I have bought some latex gloves for the litter pickers so come to the Village Hall at 1.30pm and you will be loaned a litter picking stick and given a red bag and a pair of gloves that you can keep to use in the future to protect your hands when picking litter. Remember not to put vapes , batteries or aerosols into your red bag. These can cause explosions when crushed with other rubbish at the Recycling Centre. Give these items to me and I will take them to the Recycling Centre and put them into some dedicated bins. The red bags of litter can be left next to a village litter bin from where employees of WCBC will take them away .I will look forward to seeing you tomorrow.😀
