COVID-19 Vaccination Update 25.05.21
From Gill Harris – Executive Director of Nursing and Midwifery
Thanks to the tireless work of our staff and those in partner organisations, eight in ten eligible adults in North Wales have received a first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while almost half of adults have received both doses. In the coming week we will have administered half a million first dose jabs.
The regional variations that had existed in previous weeks are continuing to even out, as we have reprioritised vaccine supply and put on additional clinics.
A detailed breakdown of the North Wales COVID-19 Vaccination Programme can be found in the vaccination statistics section of our website.
Online booking system for COVID-19 vaccination appointments
We are continuing to offer short notice appointments to people in certain age groups on a first come first served basis. These are publicised on our social media accounts and through the local media, where possible.
In the coming days we will introduce an online booking system on our website, which will enable people to book both first and second dose appointments at a time and date that is convenient for them, providing greater flexibility.
We’re determined not to leave anybody behind, so please don’t worry if you’re not able to attend one of our drop in sessions or book your appointment online just yet.
Vaccine effectiveness against the Indian variant
Real world data released in the last week shows that the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines are highly effective against the strain of the so-called Indian variant of COVID-19 after two doses. Please continue to attend your second dose appointments, in order to obtain the most effective protection.
Missed appointments
We are continuing to see a high number of people failing to attend their appointments.
We urge people to please:
• Let us know if you cannot attend your appointment
• Still attend your appointment if you have any concerns about receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, so we can take the time to discuss these with you
• Make an informed decision about whether you wish to be vaccinated, based on the latest information from trusted sources. The Public Health Wales website is a great place to start
Please remember - vaccination provides the best protection from becoming seriously ill with COVID-19, and it is our best route out of the pandemic. As lockdown measures continue to ease, proof of vaccination may be required to enable you to enjoy a range of social activities, such as holidaying abroad, or attending concerts, festivals or sporting events.
You can now obtain a certificate of vaccination for international travel by visiting the Welsh Government website: Demonstrating your COVID-19 vaccination status when travelling abroad | GOV.WALES

Diweddariad ar Frechu rhag COVID-19 25.05.21
Gan Gill Harris - Cyfarwyddwr Gweithredol Nyrsio a Bydwreigiaeth
Diolch i waith diflino ein staff a'r rheiny mewn sefydliadau partner, mae wyth o bob deg o oedolion cymwys yng Ngogledd Cymru wedi derbyn dos cyntaf o'r brechlyn rhag COVID-19, tra bod bron i hanner yr holl oedolion wedi derbyn y ddau ddos. Dros yr wythnos sydd i ddod, byddwn wedi rhoi hanner miliwn o bigiadau dos cyntaf.
Mae'r amrywiadau rhanbarthol sydd wedi bodoli mewn wythnosau blaenorol yn parhau i sefydlogi, gan ein bod wedi ailflaenoriaethu cyflenwadau o'r brechlyn ac wedi cynnig clinigau ychwanegol.
Mae dadansoddiad manwl o Raglen Frechu rhag COVID-19 yng Ngogledd Cymru ar gael ar yr adran ystadegau brechu ar ein gwefan.
System trefnu ar-lein ar gyfer apwyntiadau brechu rhag COVID-19
Rydym yn parhau i gynnig apwyntiadau byr rybudd i bobl mewn grwpiau oedran penodol ar sail y cyntaf i'r felin. Caiff y rhain eu cyhoeddi ar ein cyfrifon ar y cyfryngau cymdeithasol a thrwy'r cyfryngau lleol, lle bo'n bosibl.
Yn y diwrnodau nesaf, byddwn yn cyflwyno system trefnu ar-lein ar ein gwefan, a fydd yn galluogi pobl i drefnu apwyntiadau dos cyntaf ac ail ddos ar amser a dyddiad sy'n gyfleus iddynt, gan roi mwy o hyblygrwydd.
Rydym yn benderfynol o beidio â gadael neb ar ôl, felly peidiwch â phoeni os na allwch ddod i un o'n sesiynau galw heibio neu os nad ydych wedi trefnu eich apwyntiad ar-lein eto.
Effeithiolrwydd brechlynnau yn erbyn yr amrywiolyn Indiaidd
Mae data o'r byd go iawn a ryddhawyd yr wythnos ddiwethaf yn dangos bod brechlynnau Pfizer ac AstraZeneca yn hynod effeithiol yn erbyn y straen sy'n cael ei galw'n amrywiolyn Indiaidd COVID-19 ar ôl dau ddos. Dylech barhau i fynd i'ch apwyntiadau ail ddos, er mwyn amddiffyn eich hun gymaint â phosibl.
Colli apwyntiadau
Rydym yn parhau i weld nifer fawr o bobl sy'n methu â mynychu eu hapwyntiadau.
Felly, rydym yn annog pobl:
• I roi gwybod i ni os na allwch ddod i'ch apwyntiad
• Os bydd gennych unrhyw bryderon ynghylch derbyn y brechlyn rhag COVID-19, gofynnwn i chi fynd i'ch apwyntiad yr un fath fel y gallwn gymryd yr amser i drafod y rhain gyda chi.

Updates from the Health Board
COVID-19 Vaccination Programme Update
For the latest information about the vaccination programme, activity, rollout plans and FAQs please visit our website here
As of today, a total of 650,919 vaccinations have been administered in North Wales. Over three quarters of adults in North Wales have now received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and we remain on course to offer vaccination to the remaining adult population before the end of July.
This is the largest vaccination programme ever undertaken in the NHS and we simply could not have protected so many people so quickly without the expertise and dedication of our primary care colleagues in GP surgeries, Local Vaccination Centres and community pharmacies.
Last week the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) and Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) changed their guidance to state that where possible, an

alternative to the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine should be offered to 30-39 year-olds as a precautionary measure, because of the extremely small risk of blood clots occurring in this age group.
As a result, those aged 18-39 will now receive the Pfizer vaccine, and those aged over 40 will receive the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine.
This short notice change unavoidably led to a number of appointments being cancelled last week, which have since been rearranged. We do not expect this change in guidance to delay the overall delivery of the vaccination programme in North Wales and we apologise for any inconvenience this caused to those both due to receive and deliver those vaccines last week.
Everyone who has already had a first dose of the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine should be reassured that it is safe to receive a second dose of the same brand, irrespective of age, in line with JCVI advice. Medical exemptions may apply to a very small minority.
It is not possible for individuals to choose which brand of first or second dose vaccine they receive. In line with the latest guidance from the JCVI and MHRA, those aged 18-39 will receive the Pfizer vaccine, and those aged over 40 will receive the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine.

Nodyn Briffio COVID-19 – 13/5/2021

Helo, gweler isod wybodaeth, cyngor a diweddariadau gan y Bwrdd Iechyd am ein staff, gwasanaethau a'r sefyllfa ddiweddaraf gyda COVID-19.
Mae COVID-19 yn her ddigynsail i system gyfan y GIG. Mae llawer o wybodaeth yn cylchredeg yn y wasg ac ar y cyfryngau cymdeithasol am COVID-19 ac ymateb y GIG. Cyfeiriwch at y nodiadau briffio hyn a'r wybodaeth sydd ar gael ar wefan BIPBC, gwefan Iechyd Cyhoeddus Cymru a gwefan Llywodraeth Cymru am y wybodaeth swyddogol ddiweddaraf.
Er bod y wybodaeth yn y nodyn briffio hwn yn gywir ar adeg ei chyhoeddi, mae cyflymder digwyddiadau sy'n newid yn gyflym yn golygu y gall newidiadau i gyngor a gwybodaeth ddigwydd yn gyflym. Felly, y gwefannau uchod - sy'n cael eu diweddaru a'u gwirio'n rheolaidd - yw'r ffordd fwyaf dibynadwy i gael gafael ar wybodaeth gyfoes.

Diweddariadau gan y Bwrdd Iechyd
Y Diweddaraf ar y Rhaglen Frechu COVID-19

Am fwy o wybodaeth am y rhaglen brechu, y gweithgarwch diweddaraf, y cynlluniau cyflwyno a'r cwestiynau cyffredin ewch ar ein gwefan yma.
Diweddariad ar y Rhaglen Frechu COVID-19
I fyny at heddiw, mae cyfanswm o 650,919 o frechiadau wedi'u rhoi yng Ngogledd Cymru. Mae dros dri chwarter oedolion Gogledd Cymru wedi cael o leiaf un dos o'r brechlyn rhag COVID-19 erbyn hyn ac rydym yn parhau i fod ar y trywydd cywir i gynnig brechiadau i weddill y boblogaeth sy'n oedolion cyn diwedd mis Gorffennaf.
Hon yw'r rhaglen frechu fwyaf erioed i gael ei chynnig gan y GIG a'r gwir amdani yw, na allem fod wedi amddiffyn cynifer o bobl mor gyflym heb arbenigedd ac ymroddiad ein cydweithwyr gofal cychwynnol mewn meddygfeydd, Canolfannau Brechu Lleol a fferyllfeydd cymunedol.
Yr wythnos ddiwethaf, gwnaeth y Cyd-bwyllgor ar Imiwneiddio a Brechu (JCVI) a'r Asiantaeth Rheoleiddio Meddyginiaethau a Chynhyrchion Gofal Iechyd (MHRA) newid eu harweiniad i ddatgan, lle bo'n bosibl, y dylid cynnig dewis amgen yn hytrach na brechlyn AstraZeneca Rhydychen i bobl rhwng 30 a 39 oed fel mesur rhagofalus, oherwydd y risg hynod fach y gallai'r grŵp oedran hwn ddioddef clotiau gwaed.
O ganlyniad, bydd y rhai rhwng 18 a 39 oed bellach yn derbyn brechlyn Pfizer, a bydd y rhai dros 40 oed yn derbyn brechlyn AstraZeneca Rhydychen.
Arweiniodd y newid byr rybudd hwn, yn anochel, at ganslo nifer o apwyntiadau'r wythnos ddiwethaf, ac ers hynny, mae'r rheiny wedi cael eu haildrefnu. Nid ydym yn disgwyl i'r newid hwn yn yr arweiniad beri oedi o ran cyflwyno'r rhaglen frechu yn gyffredinol yng Ngogledd Cymru ac rydym yn ymddiheuro am unrhyw anghyfleustra a achoswyd i’r rhai oedd yn barod i gael eu brechu a’r rhai oedd yn rhoi’r brechiadau.
Dylai pawb sydd eisoes wedi cael dos cyntaf o frechlyn AstraZeneca Rhydychen fod yn sicr ei bod yn ddiogel cael ail ddos o'r un brand, waeth beth fo'u hoedran, yn unol â chyngor JCVI. Efallai y bydd eithriadau meddygol yn berthnasol i leiafrif bach iawn.
Nid yw’n bosibl i bobl ddewis pa fath o frechlyn maen nhw’n ei gael. Yn unol â’r arweiniad diweddaraf gan y JCVI ar MHRA, bydd y rhai rhwng 18-39 oed yn cael y brechlyn Pfizer a’r rhai dros 40 oed yn cael y brechlyn Rhydychen AstraZeneca.
Rhaid i’r ail ddos fod yr un brand â’r cyntaf, os nad oes angen clinigol clir am un arall.
Nid oes tystiolaeth glinigol gyfredol bod clotiau gwaed yn digwydd ar ôl yr ail ddos o unrhyw frechlyn COVID-19. Felly, dim ond y rhai â ffactorau risg clinigol penodol fydd yn cael cynnig ail ddos gwahanol.
Byddem yn annog pobl i barhau i fynychu eu hapwyntiad os bydd ganddynt unrhyw bryderon ynghylch y brechlyn, fel y gallwn gymryd yr amser i drafod y rhain gyda nhw cyn penderfynu p'un i barhau gyda'r brechiad ai peidio.
Er mwyn osgoi gwastraffu unrhyw frechlynnau gan nad yw pobl wedi dod i apwyntiadau, o dro i dro, mae'n bosibl y byddwn yn cynnig apwyntiadau byr dymor i bobl mewn grwpiau oedran penodol ar sail y cyntaf i'r felin.
Yn ogystal, efallai y bydd achlysuron pan fyddwn yn gwahodd pobl mewn grwpiau oedran penodol i drefnu apwyntiad gyda ni'n uniongyrchol.
Pan fydd yr apwyntiadau hyn ar gael, byddwn yn cyhoeddi hyn trwy ein cyfrifon ar y cyfryngau cymdeithasol ac yn rhannu manylion gyda'r cyfryngau lleol, lle bo'n bosibl..
Mae'r cyhoeddiad ar gael ar wefan Llywodraeth Cymru yma.
Mae rhagor o wybodaeth ar gael hefyd ar wefan Iechyd Cyhoeddus Cymru yma.
Canolfan Cefnogi COVID yn agor yng Nghaergybi
Mae Canolfan Cefnogi COVID yn awr ar gael yng Nghaergybi a fydd yn darparu pecynnau profi a chefnogaeth i’r rheiny sy’n byw yn y gymuned.
Mae preswylwyr yn gallu trefnu apwyntiad gyda’r gwasanaeth Cyngor ar Bopeth yn y dref ar Ynys Môn i gael Profion Llif Unffordd (LFT).
Defnyddir Profion Llif Unffordd i ddynodi pobl sydd â COVID-19 nad ydynt yn dangos unrhyw symptomau. Nid yw oddeutu 1 o bob 3 unigolyn sydd â’r firws yn dangos unrhyw symptomau, ac os na fydd yn cael ei ganfod byddant yn parhau i ledaenu’r firws.
Mae profi’r rheiny nad oes ganddynt unrhyw symptomau yn bwysig yn y frwydr yn erbyn COVID-19. Gall pob achos positif a ddynodwyd helpu i atal mwy o heintiau.
Yr oriau agor fydd 10am - 2pm dydd Llun i ddydd Gwener drwy apwyntiad. Gellir trefnu apwyntiad drwy ffonio’r tîm yn y gwasanaeth Cyngor ar Bopeth ar 01407 762278 (unrhyw adeg rhwng 9am a 4pm bob dydd).
Y Ganolfan Cefnogi COVID yw’r fenter gyntaf o’i fath yng Ngogledd Cymru, a bydd Canolfannau Cefnogi tebyg yn cael eu datblygu mewn siroedd eraill dros yr wythnosau nesaf.
Mynediad at Brofion Llif Unffordd
Anogir pobl nad ydynt yn gallu gweithio o gartref hefyd i ddefnyddio pecynnau profion llif unffordd.
Gellir casglu’r rhain o safleoedd ledled Gogledd Cymru yn cynnwys Bangor, Cei Connah, Glannau Dyfrdwy, Llandudno, Y Rhyl, Wrecsam a Llangefni.
Mae mwy o fanylion ar wefan BIPBC yma.
I gael rhagor o newyddion a diweddariadau gan y Bwrdd Iechyd, gweler ein gwefan a'n sianeli ar y cyfryngau cymdeithasol (Facebook a Twitter).

Jobs fears and transport chaos in Wrexham and Flintshire as GHA coaches enters administration

SCHOOL and public transport services in and around Wrexham have been thrown into chaos today following the collapse of a bus company.

It was confirmed last night GHA Coaches, responsible for services on many bus routes around the town, had entered administration “with immediate effect” .

The shock announcement means bus passengers in parts of Wrexham, Denbighshire and Shropshire will have been left stranded this morning.

GHA’s collapse leaves hundreds of staff facing employment worries and the future of dozens of commercial services throughout Wrexham county borough are now in doubt.
