Thank you very much to 2407 Yateley & Eversley Air Cadets for inviting Yateley Town Mayor Graham Cockarill to their AGM. The Mayor helped to present awards to the Air Cadets and generally had a great time!

We are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage following a fatal road traffic collision in Hook.

Police were called at about 5pm yesterday (Sunday 21 June) to a report of a collision on the B3349 Reading Road.

This involved a black Triumph motorcycle being ridden on the northbound carriageway towards Heckfield. No other vehicles are believed to have been involved.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 60s from Oxford, was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene and his family have been notified.

As part of our investigation into the circumstances surrounding this collision, we would like to speak to any witnesses and in particular anyone with relevant dash cam footage that may assist us.

A 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝘁-𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁 has been issued for the South and Midlands for Wednesday and Thursday this week meaning 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘀 are 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱. This is the highest heat-health alert that can be issued.

Alerts are in place from 1am on Wednesday 24 June until 11pm on Thursday 25 June.

🔴⚠️ A Red Heat-Health Alert has been issued across the Midlands and southern England until 25 June. This is the highest level of alert and indicates a risk to everyone's health, not just vulnerable groups. Northern England is under an Amber alert.
