Also historically referred to as the Portrait Room, this magnificent space is one of the grand, interconnecting formal rooms that makes up our famous South Wing sequence. Built with an elegant enfilade design, the doors align perfectly to allow guests to flow effortlessly from one beautiful space to the next.

With its striking timber paneling, classic portrait styling, and an exquisite corner fireplace, it is a room that truly breathes the estate’s rich heritage.

While it was originally designed for high-society mingling, today it makes for the most sophisticated backdrop for your post-ceremony drinks reception, a cosy indoor breakout lounge and a wonderful space to display the most expensive cake you will ever buy!

Every corner of Brympton House tells a story - what will yours be? 🏰

We were absolutely delighted to welcome back the incredibly talented Colette Allen | Cotswolds, Cardiff, UK Wedding Photographer last week for a beautiful wedding, who previously captured these gorgeous shots of Rachel Miller Cake Design stunning cake display setting.

Whether it’s used for an elegant breakout lounge, a picture-perfect photo backdrop, or the sweetest room in the house, the Cake Room always adds that touch of historic magic to your day.

Light-filled, timeless, and ready for “I do.” ✨

The Castle House is one of Brympton’s most enchanting ceremony spaces.

Dating back to the 13th century, its ancient stone walls and historic character create a setting steeped in centuries of stories, while the abundance of natural light gives the room a wonderfully fresh and romantic feel.

With views across the South Terrace and doors that open onto the sunshine beyond, it seamlessly blends the intimacy of an historic building with the beauty of the surrounding estate.

A space where history, light, and love come together beautifully 🤍

For centuries, this room has been at the heart of Brympton. Originally built as the Elizabethan Great Hall, it would once have been the main gathering space of the house - a place for welcoming guests, celebrations and daily life at the estate. Long before wedding receptions and champagne towers, this room was designed to impress.

With its huge stone mullioned windows flooding the room with natural light, the Great Hall feels especially beautiful in the evening as the west-facing sun pours through the windows and fills the room with golden light.

In winter, the open fire transforms the space completely - warm, intimate and incredibly inviting for indoor drinks receptions, candlelit gatherings and post-dinner cake cutting.

One of the things couples love most is how versatile the hall becomes throughout the day. A dramatic entrance space, a relaxed drinks reception setting, somewhere for guests to gather between moments… all while surrounded by hundreds of years of history.
