A huge thank you to The Fencing Centre Yeovil, Matt, and the entire team for your incredibly generous donation of tables and benches to both Yeovil and Martock Fire Stations. 🚒💚

Your support has helped us take another important step towards creating welcoming outdoor wellbeing spaces for our crews. These areas provide firefighters and staff with somewhere to relax, recharge during their shifts. Having access to a dedicated wellbeing garden can make a real difference to both physical and mental wellbeing, especially after attending challenging incidents.

We are extremely grateful for your kindness and community spirit, and it’s wonderful to see the furniture already being put to good use.

🚒 Training Night 🚒

Last night, crews from Yeovil Fire Station along with Martock Fire Station and Castle Cary Fire Station carried out a simulated commercial property fire exercise at Kuehne+Nagel on the Pen Mill Trading Estate.

Training against local risks is invaluable and gives us the opportunity to test and develop our skills in realistic scenarios. Exercises such as this help us practise firefighting tactics, incident command, communication and teamwork, ensuring we are ready to respond when our community needs us most.

A huge thank you to Kuehne+Nagel for allowing us to use their premises. Also a big thanks to Tom Sims for taking the photographs 👌

Today we remember the 72 people who lost their lives in the Grenfell Tower tragedy.

Nine years on, our thoughts remain with the friends, families, and communities affected by the devastating event.
