Today we take time to remember Dolly Parton and Tim Curry.

It is a time to reflect on their lives, their work and their unwavering resolve in acceptance, regardless of background.

Dolly taught us that when faced with adversity, to dig out heels in even more to truly flourish., To show compassion to our fellow human beings. To be ourselves, and never be too shy to show others what your hidden talents are.

Tim taught us in some of his roles that it is inevitable to be the villain in someone's narrative, but one that is loved by others, and that is perfectly okay. He also taught that being hurt by daring to dream hurts a lot less than a lifetime of regret of a chance not taken.

From darker cover versions of Jolene to doing the Time Warp at Club nights and events, tributes to their work have been widespread throughout the world.

They will be sorely missed. REST IN POWER.

But let the music play on... Let's show our tributes to two of the finest human beings the goth and alternative community have adopted as some of our own! 🖤

19 years ago today...

We do what we do for her.

It is up to us all to make sure that history doesn't repeat itself.

It is up to us all to stand up, stand proud, and stamp out prejudice, hatred and intolerance everywhere.

Rest in power.

Some words that have always been at the heart of what we do. Acceptance of everyone, regardless of background.
We stand with the weirdos, the outcasts, the ones left behind. We stand on the fringes of the subculture and welcome those new to the scene and those who don't know anyone.
We don't believe in judgment, we don't believe in gatekeeping. never have done.
We believe in event safety and looking out for each other. Why? Because there are not many of us, and sadly the modern tropes ring true.

A message from us to those who feel judged, ostracized, left behind. Please don't be discouraged. To thine own self be true, being Goth/Alternative is albeit a varied but all the more a personal choice. Don't let others discourage you from expressing yourself. It is a subculture built out of not fitting in, being unique, and most of all...out of love.
