Let’s Create - Let's Celebrate! Acomb - The Place of the Oaks
Fri 4 Sep 10 AM - 1 PM & Fri 11 Sep 10 AM - 1 PM
Come and help create a community wall hanging celebrating Acomb as the Place of the Oaks. Christine Rollitt, a Fine Art Artist with a focus on stitched textiles, will host this hands-on session.

Enjoy colouring cloth and papers ready to stitch. All materials are provided but please bring an apron or wear appropriate clothing for using paints.

This activity is open to all ages, although younger children will need parental assistance.

To get the most out of the experience it would be best if you could attend both sessions (Friday 4 September and Friday 11 September) but don't worry if you can't.

In this inspiring workshop, led by an experienced professional, you will develop the skills and techniques to learn how to beatbox and to craft your own lyrics. After practising the fundamentals, you will soon be working as a group to create a mini-performance. Develop your voice, build your confidence and work as a team!
No prior experience is necessary to join this supportive workshop.
This session is suitable for children age 8-12 years old

Please note our supervision guidelines: 8s and Under must have an adult with them at all times during the session. Ages 9–10 need an adult to stay in the library building during the session and to be on hand to support the child if needed. Ages 11+ can take part independently but will be unsupervised by library staff. Thank you for helping us keep our activities safe.
