Witness appeal following assault in Front Street, Acomb, yesterday ⬇️

A suspect has been arrested after an assault in Acomb.

We are appealing for information about the assault, which occurred yesterday, Monday 15 June, at about 5.30pm, on Front Street, outside Betfred.

A male victim was attacked by a group of people, sustaining injuries which required hospital treatment.

A 48-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the incident. She remains in police custody at this time.

Officers are seeking further individuals involved. We’re particularly appealing for any witnesses, anyone with information, or anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage, to come forward.

We are appealing for assistance identifying a female who may be able to help us with our enquiries in relation to a break-in to a car from which bank cards were stolen and then used in a Tesco store, in York.

The car was entered on 30.04.2026, at Hambleton Terrace, York and one of the bank cards taken from the vehicle was used shortly after at Tesco Express, Piccadilly, York.

We are appealing for any help that would lead to the identification of the female shown in the two still image taken from CCTV at Tesco.

As summer gets into full swing, officers are already out across North Yorkshire, supporting some of the county’s biggest events with our unpredictable, intelligence led deployments designed to disrupt anyone intent on causing harm.

Over the past few weeks, our teams have been visible at:

• York Royal Gun Salutes
• York City Football Club promotion parade
• Scarborough Open Air Theatre
• Knaresborough Bed Race

And we’ll continue to be present at major events throughout the summer.

Our approach combines high visibility patrols, plain clothes officers, CCTV operators, specialist resources, and strong partnerships with event organisers and local communities.

Appeal after black KTM e-bike was stolen in garage burglary ⬇️

We’re appealing for witnesses, information and relevant video footage following a garage burglary in Acomb, York.

It happened at an address on Hob Moor Drive between 4am and 4.30am on Sunday (14 June 2026).

Suspects broke into the garage and stole a black KTM e-bike.

The security alarm was activated.

As well as the main appeal points above, we also need to hear about anyone who has been trying to sell a similar bike since the incident occurred.

It happened at 4pm on Monday 8 June 2026 on Beckfield Lane, and involved a 14-year-old boy being assaulted.

The victim attended hospital for treatment to minor injuries.

We’re appealing for information about a man who is described as being aged in his 30s.

We would like to speak to them following an assault that took place outside Slug and Lettuce, Ouse Bridge, York.

It happened on Saturday 21st March 2026 at 8pm and the female we wish to speak with was also in company with a male.

We believe the person in the image will have information that could help our investigation.
