Well said Westfield Labour! The boundary review will only impact the wards used to elect councillors - nothing else. The Local Government Boundary Commission is an independent body that all political parties and other community groups are able to input into.

This May Half Term the City has funded some free inflatable rugby sessions provided by York Knights RLFC for 5-12 year olds!

The local event to Fishergate is on the 26th of May from 1-3pm at Fulford Parish Field, School Lane. All are welcome at each of these events across the city!

📍There are proposals on the table that would see big changes to Fishergate Ward!

Under the draft plans, our area would be merged with the parish of Fulford to the south creating a new 3-member ward called Fulford & Fishergate. That’s a pretty big shift, and it could change how our community is represented going forward.

Just to be clear, this does not change the overall boundary of the City of York. It is about how areas within the city are grouped into wards and represented.

Nothing is final yet. The consultation is open until 6 July, so please do have your say.
