What a weekend at the forest school conference... Playing, crafting, dancing, chatting, learning, dancing, and reflecting. We left feeling energised and excited. Thanks , we can't wait for next year!

It's great to be back in school! We started the term thinking about what is beneath our feet, exploring the soil and the underground heroes that keep the soil healthy. We made a wormery so that we can check back and see how busy the worms have been next week.

First week of holiday clubs in the bag, and what a fab week it's been!

I love the slower pace of a whole day in the woods; a chance to really get stuck into a project; or really get to know the place and the people better by just spending time there.

It's been a really fantastic bunch of children too: ready to get stuck in, make new friends, renew old friendships and try something new. It's a joy to spend the summer with you all!

If you live near York and have a 6-11 year old who would like to join our forest school crew we still have a few places left at the end of the summer. Follow the link in bio to book!

We spotted this amazing buff tip moth resting on a hazel leaf. You can just see his little legs poking out from under his wings.

Some children found it hard to believe that it wasn't actually a broken bit of twig: the patterns and colours are *so* convincing!
