✨ One of my most asked questions...'What happens in a Stage 2 class?' ✨

The sessions are jam-packed with play, movement, songs, stories, sensory activities, giggles and smiles - but there’s always a reason behind everything we do, and your baby’s development is at the heart of every class. 💕

From tummy time, rolling and building those little muscles, to exploring new textures, sounds, books and experiences…every activity is thoughtfully planned to support your baby as they learn, grow and discover the world around them. 🌈🧠

And the best part? They don’t know they’re learning - they’re just having fun, making friends, connecting with you and playing! 🥰

The dreamiest of scenes at the end of our baby massage class in Strensall yesterday... 💤🤍✨

Lots of sleepy babies meant lots of relaxed mamas enjoying their chats, cuppas and cake (with both hands free! ☕🍰).

It's so common for babies to drift off after a massage because it helps activate their relaxation response. Gentle massage can lower stress hormones, encourage the release of feel-good hormones, and soothe your baby's nervous system, helping them feel calm, secure and ready for a lovely, long nap. 💤✨

Your baby's sense of touch does so much more than tell them if something feels soft, cold or tickly...

Through baby massage & baby yoga, your baby receives sensory information from their skin, muscles and joints. Their developing brain processes this information to build an understanding of where their body is and how it moves 🧠🦵🏼💪🏼

Gentle massage, stretches and movement can all provide valuable sensory experiences, helping to develop body awareness and movement co-ordination 👐🏼

So the next time you're massaging those tiny feet or enjoying baby yoga together, remember - you're not only bonding and having fun, you're also helping your baby's developing brain learn about their body and how it moves!

🌟🚀 What a gorgeous start to our new term! 🚀🌟

This week in Sherburn, our Stage 2 babies went on a space adventure! 🪐🌙
After our baby yoga and movement songs, the little astronauts explored lights, colours and textures, encouraging them to look, reach, touch and investigate 💫

Sensory play like this gives your little one the opportunity to explore the world around them, whilst supporting their early brain development and helping to develop their co-ordination and visual tracking skills...all while having lots of fun! 🧠✨
