Survey alert! Caerphilly Homes would like your views on the energy performance of our homes as part of the Welsh Housing Quality Standard. We need your feedback on possible improvements to make homes warmer, healthier, more comfortable and cheaper to heat, whilst reducing carbon emissions and supporting a more sustainable future.

Our research company ‘ARP Research’ and their partners ‘Prevision Research’ will start calling a representative sample of our tenants from Thursday 20th August 2026. Calls will come from 01908 047948 so if you’re one of the lucky ones to be selected, please help us by completing the survey. Your views and feedback help us to shape future investment decisions and ensure that improvements are delivered in a way that works for our residents.

📅 If you rent your home from the Council, the next two weeks (beginning 24th & 31st August) are ‘rent free’ weeks. This means that you won’t be charged rent.

💳️ If you are in arrears, please continue to make a payment.
Whatever you pay during these two weeks will come straight off your rent account balance.

🏘️ Caerphilly County Borough Council has confirmed it will work in partnership with contractor Jones Brothers (Henllan) Ltd to bring much needed new affordable homes to Pontywaun.

🏗️ Jones Brothers, appointed following a competitive procurement process, is one of the leading Civil Engineering and Construction Companies in South Wales. They will work with the Council’s Caerphilly Homes team to transform the site of the former Castle Court sheltered housing scheme into 16 affordable, energy-efficient homes, helping meet local housing needs while creating a place the community can be proud of.

📣🏘️ Over the next two days our housing computer systems will be undergoing essential upgrades. During this time our Caerphilly Homes Rents Team will not be able to access any accounts or deal with queries.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Systems are expected to be operational again from 20th August.

It was a real pleasure to welcome Owen Money to Ty Darran Sheltered Housing Scheme to collect a very special handmade gift from one of our wonderful residents.

With incredible talent, care and generosity, our resident knitted a fantastic golfer especially for Owen. In a lovely gesture, Owen kindly agreed to auction the golfer to raise money for Air Ambulance – the unique knitted golfer raised an amazing total of £300!

We're so proud of our resident's amazing craftsmanship and grateful to Owen for supporting such a worthwhile cause. It's moments like these that remind us how kindness, creativity and community can come together to make a real difference.

A big thank you to everyone involved.

Roedd yn bleser mawr croesawu Owen Money i gynllun tai lloches Tŷ Darran i gasglu anrheg arbennig iawn wedi'i wneud â llaw gan un o'n preswylwyr gwych.
