Fellow Grenadians,

Regarding the CBI scandal:

This program has been in the shadows of suspicion, corruption and lack of transparency long enough.
We are owed the respect of full disclosure of the program, it's earnings, activities and impact.

An investigation should be opened (by the state) into the entire CBI program from its genesis, and new criteria and policy must govern the issuance of our passports to protect the future of our inheritance as a people. Much could be done to ensure that we the people are the intrinsic beneficiaries of this program, and that the recipients of our citizenship are not liabilities to our way of life and national reputation.

New policies should:
1. Forbid real estate ownership
2. Permit land leasing only
3. Investments should be confined to education and entrepreneurship
4. Voting eligibility should be restricted to 2nd generation RESIDENT CBI holders & beyond (if at all)
5. Limit the number of passports issued annually.

We the people must demand real answers and participate in policy making and accountability in all our affairs!

"If it's power at all, it must be POWER for all!"

The application was filed with the high court yesterday regarding election violations to the Constitution and Representation of the People's Act CAP 286A.

The defense highlighted that the application's affidavit did not adhere to the court's procedural requirement for submission and urged the judge to dismiss the claim.

The judge gave us an ultimatum (a legal threat) - withdraw the claim or be dismissed and charged. We withdrew the claim, as we'd rather put money into returning our fight to court at a later date.

By no means are POWER, GEM, ICCR backing down from representing the Constitutional rights and freedoms of Grenadians. We're only just beginning!
