Grenada Food & Nutrition Council The GFNC engages communities in Nutrition counseling, Education and outreach activities. Monitor food and nutrition programmes throughout the nation.

The Grenada Food and Nutrition Council (Council) was established under the People’s Law No. 32 of 1980 and amended under Act No. 5 of 2008 to perform the following duties:

- Make recommendations for a National Food and Nutrition Policy. Prepare and evaluate Food and Nutrition projects.

- Assist in the implementation of selected projects related to Food and Nutrition.

- Assist in the establishme

nt of food quality throughout the food chain in collaboration with responsible agencies.

- Serve as a specialized technical resource in the field of Food and Nutrition.
