Does your child attend High School and need to use a school bus service from September this year? ๐ŸšŒ

If so, please be aware that today is the deadline for requesting this.

If your child is attending High School, or the Sixth Form Centre, in September, you will have been contacted by their school and invited to complete this online form to say which service(s) they are likely to need: https://forms.office.com/pages/responsepage.aspx?id=SVj2WYAqlU2DbTCOkIRxIwKi8ImGrS1HgmllLLUvXQVUMDJBWVhBSjk5Vk00MkhONkdCSUgyU1M2VS4u&route=shorturl

Several changes have been made to the bus routes, and in several cases, there will be a different bus operator for those routes.

Receiving this information on time will help us make sure we can respond to requests before the end of the current school term.

Two abandoned vehicles have been removed from Portinfer car park by the Committee for the Environment & Infrastructure.

These were recovered by Ozzy Ozanne Recoveries and scrapped by Guernsey Recycling Group, free of charge.

Traffic and Highway Services identified the vehicles as abandoned in early May at which point they placed a notice on the cars explaining when they were due to be collected for disposal. Letters were also sent to the registered owners to provide an opportunity for them to say if these were not abandoned.

Itโ€™s expected that a small number of other genuinely abandoned vehicles will be removed in the near future.

More information about how you can scrap your vehicle is available at: https://gov.gg/ScrappingAVehicle.
