As part of the exercise, giant road safety campaign boards have been mounted at strategic points approaching the curves to alert motorists, create awareness, and encourage cautious driving ,especially for first time road users and commuters unfamiliar with the stretch.

Discussions centered on dialogue, unity, and the need for all parties to continue pursuing peaceful and lawful approaches towards resolving the dispute.

MUSEC reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining stability across the Municipality and expressed appreciation to all participants for their cooperation and dedication to peacebuilding efforts in Adamorobe.

The Akuapim South Municipal Assembly held a second attempt on 20th May 2026 to elect a Presiding Member, following an earlier unsuccessful attempt.

The structure, which had been abandoned and left unused for nearly five years, had gradually been taken over by squatters, leaving the facility in a deteriorated and unhygienic condition.

Following an inspection, the MCE directed the immediate evacuation of occupants and ordered urgent renovation works to restore the facility for official Assembly use.

The move forms part of ongoing efforts by the Assembly to reclaim and protect public properties while improving service delivery across the Municipality.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗸𝘂𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗺 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆’𝘀 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 is undertaking a major clean-up exercise along the 𝗔𝘆𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗮𝗵–𝗣𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘀𝗲 stretch, the main entry route into the Municipality from Accra, with the exercise expected to continue into the principal towns of Aburi, Kitasi and Gyankama as part of efforts to maintain a cleaner and more welcoming municipality.

The exercise forms part of efforts by the Assembly, under the leadership of the 𝗠𝗖𝗘, 𝗛𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹 𝗢𝘀𝗮𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗶, to maintain a cleaner and more welcoming environment for residents, commuters, and visitors.

Road users are urged to refrain from littering or dumping waste along the roadside. Let us all play our part in keeping Akuapim South clean, healthy, and attractive for everyone.

The announcement was made during an engagement between the Akuapim South Municipal Assembly and the Pakro community, where 𝗔𝗺𝗯 𝗡𝘁𝗼𝘄 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗲, 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗖𝗘 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗸𝘂𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗺 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵, 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁.

The establishment of an SHS in Pakro has been a key request by the Chiefs and residents during engagements with the Akuapim South Municipal Assembly and the Municipal Chief Executive. In anticipation of such an opportunity, the community had already allocated and reserved over seven acres of land for the project.
