Empowering inclusion through climate action

Our LEGIT Next GEN leaders implemented a community-driven project focused on educating people with disabilities on climate change and transforming waste into income opportunities at the Office of the Socially Disadvantaged Welfare Society in Kaneshie, Greater Accra.

The project successfully reached 36 direct beneficiaries and 10 community leaders, who will continue to amplify this impact.

This is what inclusive development looks like—where no one is left behind in the fight for a sustainable future.

Empowering girls with knowledge, confidence and dignity.

Through the Power to Choose – She Knows initiative, our team reached over 120 students at Nkyenenkyene JHS, creating a safe space to learn, share and break the silence around menstrual health.

From debunking harmful myths to hands-on learning and pad distribution, this initiative is helping young girls embrace their bodies with confidence while fostering understanding among boys.

Because when girls are informed, they are empowered to shape their own futures.

Skills Over Score!
Our LEGIT Team brought the “Skills Over Score” Career Awareness Program to Great Stars Academy, inspiring young students to see beyond grades and discover the power of skills-based education through Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)

Meaningful conversations about purpose, creativity, and why the future belongs to creators, not just certificate holders. Because education gives you knowledge, but skill gives you power.

A special highlight was donating 5 pairs of sandals to students in need, made possible through the generous support of — a trailblazer in shoemaking whose journey boldly proves that talent and determination have no gender.

We left the students with this truth:
• Career awareness is about finding purpose, not just picking a job.
• ⁠TVET opens doors to creativity, innovation and self reliance.
• ⁠Education gives you knowledge but skills give you power.
• ⁠You can shape your own destiny through what your hands can create.

Our team proudly delivered the STEM Education and Digital Skills Empowerment Workshop at Kwabenya Junior High School.

This impactful program empowered bright young minds with hands-on STEM and digital skills training, equipping students who show strong passion and curiosity for technology with practical experience using Arduino Kits. Through interactive learning and real-world applications, students were inspired to think critically, innovate boldly and see themselves as future creators in the digital world.

We are deeply grateful for the invaluable support of our partners, and whose collaboration made this transformative learning experience possible. Together, we’re not just teaching skills—we’re nurturing the next generation of problem-solvers, innovators, and tech leaders.
