France Volontaires is the French platform for International exchange and solidarity Volunteering. As a French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs operator, it brings together the State, local authorities and associations around a public interest mission: the development and promotion of International exchange and solidarity Volunteering. France Volontaires Ghana, through its Volunteering Centre

located in the Alliance Française in Accra, supports and guides volunteers and structures interested in International exchange and solidarity Volunteering. It carries out missions of advice, training, networking and promotion of international exchange and solidarity volunteering.

[Participation in an event - 2026 Walk & Run for Education]

🌟 On July 25th, the France Volontaires Ghana team participated in the 2026 Walk & Run for Education event organized by our partner Fafali around the Christian Village neighborhood in Accra.

✏️ The objective of this event held anually is to volunteer and collect donations helping the underserved children with school supplies used throughout the year, as well as marking the campaigns made by our partner within the sports and education thematics.

🤝 We thank Fafali for the invitation and wish the children the best in their studies !

[Participation à un événement - 2026 Walk & Run for Education]

🌟 Le 25 juillet, l'équipe de France Volontaires Ghana a participé à l'événement « 2026 Walk & Run for Education », organisé par notre partenaire Fafali dans le quartier de Christian Village à Accra.

✏️ L’objectif de cet événement annuel est de mobiliser des bénévoles et de collecter des dons afin d’aider les enfants défavorisés en leur fournissant des fournitures scolaires pour toute l’année, tout en mettant en avant les campagnes menées par notre partenaire dans les domaines du sport et de l’éducation.

[Meeting with the volunteers from the Fondation Jeunesse Feu Vert at the Volunteering Centre]

🌟 On July 21st, we were pleased to welcome the volunteers from the Fondation Jeunesse Feu Vert to the Volunteering Centre following their JSI VVV-SI solidarity project in Odumase-Okanta.

📝 During their visit, we had the opportunity to talk about their mission and their experience in Ghana. An information session on the VIES volunteer opportunities was held to raise awareness among the young people about the possibilities offered by France Volontaires.

👏 We thank the group for their work on renovating the school and wish them all the best for their future projects!

[Rencontre avec les volontaires de la Fondation Jeunesse Feu Vert à l'Espace Volontariats]

🌟 Le 21 juillet, nous avons eu le plaisir d’accueillir à l’Espace Volontariats les bénévoles de la Fondation Jeunesse Feu Vert à la suite de leur chantier de solidarité JSI VVV-SI à Odumase-Okanta.

📝 Lors de leur visite, nous avons pu échanger sur leur mission et leur expérience au Ghana. Une session d'information sur les possibilités de volontariat VIES a été réalisée afin de sensibiliser la jeunesse aux parcours d'engagement proposés par France Volontaires !

👏 Nous remercions le groupe pour leur travail à la rénovation de l'école, et leur souhaite le meilleur pour leurs futurs projets !

[Field Visit: International Solidarity Workcamp JSI VVV-SI]

🌟 On July 17th, the France Volontaires Ghana team had the pleasure of visiting the French volunteers from the association Foundation Jeunesse Feu Vert who came from Seine-Saint-Denis, as well as the Ghanaian volunteers from AFES-Ghana, engaged in an international solidarity workcamp in Odumase-Okanta on a project funded by the FONJEP.

🤝 Over the previous three weeks, the team of young volunteers helped renovating the Ada Kyeremanten School by painting and tile-laying the different classrooms. This work will help creating a brighter and more welcoming environment for the students while developing community service between the two associations.

👏 Thanks to the volunteers for their commitment and investment in the Ghanaian youth through the renovation of the school !

🌟 Le 17 juillet, l’équipe de France Volontaires Ghana a eu le plaisir de rendre visite aux volontaires français de l’association Fondation Jeunesse Feu Vert, venus de Seine-Saint-Denis, ainsi qu’aux volontaires ghanéens de l’AFES-Ghana, engagés dans un chantier de solidarité internationale à Odumase-Okanta dans le cadre d’un projet financé par le FONJEP.

🤝 Au cours des trois dernières semaines, l’équipe de jeunes volontaires a participé à la rénovation de l’école Ada Kyeremanten en peignant et en carrelant les différentes salles de classe. Ces travaux contribueront à créer un environnement plus lumineux et plus accueillant pour les élèves, tout en renforçant la collaboration entre les deux associations au service de la communauté.

[French National Day Celebration]

🌟 The France Volontaires Ghana team took part on the celebration of the French National Day held at the Movempick Hotel on July 14th.

🇫🇷🇬🇭 During this memorable event, the French Ambassador to Ghana, S.E.M. Diarra Dimé-Labille, and Ghana's Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, H.E. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, delivered warm speeches celebrating the strenthening of ties between France and Ghana.

Mawulom Returns to Accra!

🇫🇷🇬🇭 On July 9th, we were delighted to welcome Mawulom, a young Ghanaian who has returned home after a 8-month Civic Service mission in France in Pontivy and Saint-Thuriau.

👩🏿‍🏫 Mawulom's Civic Service mission at the Saint-Joseph School in Pontivy was to assist with the school’s English classes and promote Ghanaian culture to the students.

🤝 Her assignment was overseen by France Volontaires Ghana and the National Youth Authority, which collaborated on her recruitment.

🌟 We wish Mawulom a wonderful return to Ghana and much success in her future endeavors!

🇫🇷🇬🇭 Le 9 juillet, nous avons eu le plaisir de recevoir Mawulom, jeune ghanéenne de retour au Ghana après 8 mois de mission en France à Pontivy et Saint-Thuriau.

👩🏿‍🏫 Mawulom était en mission de Service Civique auprès de l'école Saint-Joseph de Pontivy afin de réaliser le soutien aux cours d'anglais de l'école et de promouvoir la culture ghanéenne aux élèves.

🤝 Sa mission a été suivie par France Volontaires Ghana et la National Youth Authority qui ont collaboré pour son recrutement.

[Participation in an event - 6th African Youth SDGs Summit]

🌟 The France Volontaires Ghana team attended the 6th African Youth SDGs Summit organized by Youth Advocates Ghana-YAG and held at the University of Professional Studies (UPSA) between June 23rd and 25th.

🌍 The African Youth SDGs Summit is Africa’s largest youth forum on the Sustainable Development Goals. Launched in 2017, this event has evolved to bring together a multi-sector coalition of youth, development experts, governments, UN entities, NGOs and the private sector discussing about issues related to extreme poverty, climate change, increasing inequality, and complexity of governance in Africa.

👏 We congratulate Youth Advocates Ghana-YAG for the swift organization of the event !
