Fellow Ghanaians,

As we step into 2026, I want to begin by wishing every Ghanaian, at home and abroad, a happy and prosperous new year. May this year bring God’s blessings upon your homes, your work, and everything you set your hands to do. May it bring peace, good health, and renewed hope for our nation.

A new year always invites reflection. It asks us to look back honestly and to look ahead with courage.

In 2024, I presented myself to contest for the highest office of our land. This was not an impulsive decision. It was a logical step, guided by my experience, my capabilities, and a clear reading of the challenges facing our country at the time. That journey, though difficult, reinforced my understanding of leadership, sacrifice, and perseverance.

I remain deeply committed to the vision of a better Ghana. A Ghana where opportunity is fair, institutions are strong, and leadership serves the people rather than itself. A Ghana that makes room for innovation, discipline, and national unity.

As we move through 2026 and beyond, preparations toward the 2028 elections are already underway. Not in haste, and not in anger, but with intention. This is a time for listening, for organizing, for building structures, and for engaging Ghanaians at every level. It is a time to do the hard work quietly and consistently.

Yellow Ghana was formed on the belief that politics can be principled, hopeful, and people-centered. That belief has not changed. What has changed is our experience, our understanding, and our readiness for what lies ahead.

The journey to 2028 is not about personalities. It is about ideas, systems, and the future we want to leave for the next generation. It is about doing politics differently and doing nation-building seriously.

To all who supported, encouraged, questioned, and stayed engaged, I thank you. Your belief matters. Your voice matters. And together, there is still much work to be done.

As we begin this new year, let us move forward with faith, patience, and determination. May God bless you and your family. May God bless our work. And may God bless our beloved country, Ghana.

Happy New Year.

Dear Yellow Ghana Executives and Members,

I trust you are all doing well. I deeply appreciate your commitment and dedication to our shared vision for Ghana.

After careful consideration, we have decided to allow the honeymoon period and the 120-day social contract period of the current administration to elapse before we officially relaunch our movement and strategy for the 2028 elections. This will ensure that our engagement is both timely and impactful.

Our manifesto remains unchanged and continues to serve as our blueprint for transformation. You can access it here:https://www.yellowghana.com/kitnes/assets/docs/manifesto.pdf

I encourage you to read, share, and educate fellow Ghanaians on the urgency of these policies in securing a better future for our nation.

Our resolve remains unshaken. We are building towards the impact we desire, and with your continued support, we will drive the change Ghana needs. I look forward to working with all of you as we move forward.

Thank you.

Best regards,
Samuel Apea-Danquah

The very people responsible for the challenges we are facing as a nation are the same ones who have handpicked this year’s presidential candidates.

When you see hundreds of police officers clashing with the youth fighting to safeguard our nation’s heritage, don’t blame them—they don’t truly know who they are serving.

The truth may unleash chaos, but the peeling of the half-boiled egg must begin.

It is deeply disappointing what the Electoral Commission (EC) has become.

They failed to thoroughly verify the documents of certain candidates, making decisions with pre-determined biases.

Now, they are discovering errors in the documents of candidates whom they had previously cleared through their so-called technical and IT committees.

Those who were meant to be impartial kingmakers had already chosen their favorites before the race even began.

The EC has shown itself to be corrupt, inept, lazy, and incompetent.

In my candid opinion, the Electoral Commission of Ghana has shown itself to be both corrupt and grossly incompetent. My experience with the process has revealed how much of a rubberstamp body it truly is.

Not only was my candidacy unjustly disqualified, but the Commission also overstepped its authority, offering candidates differing terms of engagement seemingly designed to ensure that only their predetermined choices made it onto the ballot.

After exhausting all avenues for redress, including submitting a petition on the 20th of September, 2024, and issuing a demand notice through my Legal Team, led by Lawyer Martin Kpebu, on the 24th of September, 2024, I was left with no choice but to file a suit against the Electoral Commission yesterday.

It is crucial that justice prevails, even if it comes at a cost. Thank you for your continued support.

The forces of nature shape the fates of nations: hurricanes batter the shores of the United States, and earthquakes shake Japan's foundations. Yet in Ghana, our disaster is self-inflicted - an erosion of the land and spirit, as relentless as any storm or seismic shift. This calamity, Galamsey, is not born of nature but nurtured by our own hands, reflecting a deeper turmoil within.

It is an echo from the past - much like the ships that once sailed away with our people in chains. Back then, our leaders stood at the crossroads of history and watched as we became cargo, our humanity commodified. Today, that same spirit lingers, paralyzing us in the face of Galamsey. We argue over when to act, how to act, even if we should act, as if the devastation before us is a mere abstraction.

In 2022, over $22 billion worth of gold left Ghana’s shores, a wealth pulled from our soil. Yet, the land that yields this treasure holds nothing back for itself, much like the hands that toil in its depths. Not a cent of that fortune returns to the people who once believed that the earth beneath their feet was a gift from their ancestors. Instead, it vanishes, as ephemeral as a mirage, into the coffers of distant lands. And in this, we find ourselves again, loading the ship, though this time the chains are invisible, the captains unseen. The gold flows outward, and with it, a piece of our future, a shadow of our past.

Tropical rainforests, which take over 100 years to mature, are being destroyed in minutes due to galamsey (illegal mining). Visit the Atewa Forest today, and you will be shocked by the devastation. We must fight to protect our country, and the form that fight takes will depend on the actions of the President and the Electoral Commission.

Whenever I feel anxious, I pause and remember a moment when God came through for me. In that instant, my worries fade away, and I’m filled with peace. It’s a reminder that no matter the storm, He’s always there, and that assurance is my strength.

The amount of state resources spent on prosecuting the protestors is shameful! It's the illegal miners who deserve that level of police mobilization and swift prosecution. This country has its priorities completely backward!
