The Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the 15th Africa Internet Governance Forum (AfIGF 2026) recently convened for its second official meeting at the Ministry of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations Conference Room.

With November fast approaching, the committee dove straight into the tactical roadmap to ensure Ghana hosts a world-class forum. Key highlights from the agenda included:

1. Aligning on the AfIGF 2026 Concept Note and core mandates.
2. Finalizing crucial event venue logistics.
3. Forming specialized sub-committees to drive ex*****on.
4. Mapping out the high-level event timeline, critical milestones, and resource mobilization strategies.

The energy in the room was defined by collaboration, synergy, and a shared commitment to advancing Africa’s digital future.

Ghana to Host the 15th Africa Internet Governance Forum (AfIGF) 2026!

The Ministry of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, led by Hon. Samuel Nartey George (MP) has officially inaugurated the 35-member Local Organizing Committee (LOC).

This dedicated team will steer the preparations to ensure an impactful event as Accra becomes the epicenter of African digital policy and innovation this November.
