The Ghana National Cleaner Production Centre of the Environmental Protection Authority (GNCPC-EPA), in collaboration with United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) and Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry (MOTAI) conducted a two-days training on Resource Efficiency and Cleaner Production and Energy Audit Principles.
The training was organized on June 10th and 11th, 2026 to build the capacity of MSMEs and government Institutions including Wilmar Africa, B5 Plus Alloys Co. Ltd, Atlantics Lifesciences Ltd, Cephas Exports Ltd, Safasco Ventures, Yedent Agro Ltd, MEST, GSA, FDA, Energy Commission just to mention a few.
Day 1 of the training covered lessons on:
- Legal Framework on Environmental Management
- Introduction to Resource Efficiency and Cleaner Production
- Circular Economy
The presentations on Day 2 covered :
- Ghana’s Energy Policy and Regulatory Framework
- Introduction to Energy Audit
- Energy Data Collection, Performance indicators & Baseline Setting
- Energy Audit in Practice
The workshop provided the MSMEs and Government institutions present with practical knowledge and tools to adopt resource-efficient and cleaner production practices in their respective institutions.
