The Comptroller-General of Immigration, Mr. Samuel Basintale Amadu, joined residents of the Weija Gbawe Municipality in a community-wide environmental clean-up exercise held in compliance with the directive of the President of the Republic, H.E. John Dramani Mahama. The exercise formed part of the Government's commitment to promoting environmental sanitation and fostering cleaner, healthier communities across the country.
The exercise brought together community members, leaders, and officials in a united effort to promote sanitation and environmental responsibility. Also present was the Member of Parliament for Weija Gbawe, Hon. Jerry Ahmed Shaib, among other dignitaries, underscoring the importance of collective action in safeguarding public health and maintaining a clean environment.
As part of the exercise, the team visited several key areas including Oblogo, SCC, Weija, Tetegu, Ash Bread, and adjoining communities, where residents joined hands with officials to desilt drains, clear refuse, and restore cleanliness to their surroundings.
