STRENGTHENING BILATERAL TIES ||

Following the successful three-day familiarisation tour of the Volta Region by the Namibian High Commissioner to Ghana, H.E. Mrs. Ndiyakupi Nghituwamata, the Volta Regional Minister, Honourable James Gunu, paid a courtesy visit to the High Commissioner at the Chancery today.
The follow-up meeting aimed to consolidate ongoing bilateral discussions and formally convey deep appreciation on behalf of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs and the people of the region.

Building on the initial engagement at the Volta Regional Co-ordinating Council (VRCC), both leaders focused on moving beyond traditional diplomatic protocols to unlock robust, practical economic partnerships. Key areas targeted for development and strategic collaboration include:

Leveraging the region's vast coastal and heritage potential for tourism and cultural exchanges; Partnering on sustainable agriculture, agro-processing, and investment; Establishing formal "sister-region" agreements between the Volta Region and suitable administrative regions in Namibia for long-term knowledge sharing.

The visit reinforced the historical bonds of friendship, solidarity, and shared development goals between Ghana and Namibia.

I had the privilege of spending the day with H.E. Ms. Monica Geingos, the Third First Lady of Namibia and Founder and Chairperson of Leadership Lab Yetu.

I also had the opportunity to connect with the Dr. Hage G. Geingob Fellows during the second convening of Leadership Lab Yetu in Accra. The conversations and exchanges were a valuable reminder of the power of bringing together people who are committed to learning, leadership, and creating meaningful impact.

I am grateful for the insights shared, the connections made, and the opportunity to be part of a space that encourages thoughtful leadership and a shared commitment to the future - ✍️ H.E Ndiyakupi Nghituwamata
