We are so proud of our local student performers who participated in the 1st Annual Unity Jazz Festival and Food Fair, celebrating Farmers’ Day and the Year of Return. Performances included somber dramatazations commemerating the beggining of the transatlantic slave trade (400 years ago) as well as joyful displays of traditional culture and upbeat Jazz numbers. The morning’s youth program was attended by over 150 students from Adisadel College, Kwegyir Aggrey Senior High School, Kobina Ansa M/A Basic School, and University of Ghana Primary School.

It was great to provide local students with an all-to-rare opportunity to perform for their peers, and the results were amazing. Nakeeyat Dramani, winner of TV3’s Talented Kids Season 10, also delivered an impassioned speech, and Professor Adzaho from the University of Cape Coast music program offered words of encouragement. The program was a huge success and another opportunity to fulfill our mission of promoting peace through cultural exchange!
