The bushbuck is a beautiful and secretive antelope found across many parts of Africa. It prefers areas with bushes, woodland, and thick vegetation, where it feeds mainly on leaves, shoots, and other plant materials.
Known for its reddish-brown coat and distinctive white markings, the bushbuck is a fascinating part of Africa’s rich wildlife heritage.

🦌 Meet the Kob of Mole National Park! 🌿
The kob is a beautiful savannah antelope known for its reddish-brown coat and graceful appearance. Often seen grazing in open grasslands. Males are easily identified by their prominent horns.

World Elephant Day 🐘 | 12 August

Today, we celebrate the majestic African elephant and its vital role in keeping our ecosystems healthy.

At Mole National Park, elephants are one of our most iconic treasures. They help shape the landscape, support biodiversity, and attract visitors from Ghana and beyond. Protecting them means protecting the forests, grasslands, water sources, and countless other species that share their habitat.
On this World Elephant Day, let us renew our commitment to protecting elephants from poaching, habitat loss, and human-wildlife conflict.

Mole National Park was live on TV3 360 new today, which highlights the world rangers day celebration which happened on the 31st July and the need for the government to employ more staff to the Wildlife Division of the Forestry Commission.

Today, Mole National Park proudly celebrated World Rangers Day 2026 under the theme "Rangers: Guardians of a Changing Planet."

The day began with a morning physical training session, followed by a colourful durbar to honour the brave men and women who work every day to protect Ghana's wildlife and natural heritage. The speeches reminded us that while many people enjoy the beauty of Mole National Park, few see the long patrols, sleepless nights, and sacrifices rangers make to keep wildlife safe.
The celebration featured exciting fitness and other interesting competitions, solidarity messages from Zaina Lodge, Mole Motel Limited, security agencies, and other development partners, and a presentation of awards to outstanding rangers for their dedication and exceptional performance.
To all our rangers, thank you for your courage, commitment, and professionalism. Your work may not always be seen, but its impact is felt every day. You are not just protecting wildlife, you are protecting Ghana's natural heritage, our hope, and the future of generations to come.

We say, "Thank you" to all who made this celebration a success and to those who directly or indirectly support the work of rangers around the world
