A COMMITMENT TO EDUCATIONAL TRANSFORMATION

The Honourable MCE recently undertook a firsthand inspection of Afife Adziehe R.C Basic School, prompted by reports of deplorable conditions and infrastructural inadequacies. Accompanied by the Headmaster and his assistant, the MCE conducted a thorough tour, encountering learning environments that were regrettably below standard and unfit for children's safety and development.

This visit also brought attention to a critical issue-an abandoned GET Fund project left at the foundation stage for years-which the Honorable MCE is now actively initiating steps to revisit, correct, and fast-track, while also commending the exemplary dedication of the teachers and the palpable eagerness of the students to learn despite their limited resources.

KETU NORTH TACKLES SANITATION AT DZODZE ROUNDABOUT

In a proactive stride toward public well-being, the Environmental Health and Sanitation Unit, alongside Zoom lion Ketu North, has launched a crucial desilting exercise around the Dzodze Dzesime roundabout. This initiative forms a key part of the department's mission to control environmental factors that negatively impact health, ensuring a clean and safe environment for all community members.
The joint effort is strategically aimed at preventing localized flooding and mitigating the risk of waterborne diseases that thrive in stagnant water. By clearing the silt, the partners are actively promoting better environmental sanitation and upholding community health through essential maintenance and preventative action.

KETU NORTH ASSEMBLY ACHIEVES MILESTONE WITH GHANEPS TRAINING

The Ketu North Municipal Assembly took a crucial step towards modern governance by completing a mandatory, hands-on training on the Ghana Electronic Procurement System (GHANEPS), facilitated by the Public Procurement Authority on November 18, 2025. Seventeen key staff members from various departments, including Procurement, Finance, and Works, were successfully equipped with the technical skills necessary to manage the entire e-procurement lifecycle, from setting up the Procuring Entity and uploading the Annual Procurement Plan (APP) to creating tenders and executing the multi-user Tender Opening (Bid Opening) procedure.

This intensive one-day session ensures the Assembly's full compliance with national procurement laws, positioning it for efficient, transparent, and seamless electronic operations; the Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD) urged all participants to immediately activate their accounts and apply their new expertise to prioritize the essential registration and APP upload tasks for a rapid and effective digital transition.

KETU NORTH MARKS 41ST NATIONAL FARMERS’ DAY

Yesterday, the Ketu North Municipal Assembly came alive at the Dekpor M/A Basic School as we gathered to honor the backbone of our economyβ€”our gallant farmers and fisherfolk!
Under the theme β€œFEED GHANA, EAT GHANA, SECURE THE FUTURE,” we celebrated resilience, hard work, and the future of agriculture in our Municipality.

πŸ™Œ Acknowledgments
We were honoured to have in our midst the Municipal Chief Executive, the Municipal Coordinating Director, the Municipal Agric Director, the Traditional Leaders of Dekpor, our dedicated Staff, Security Agencies, friends from the Media, and the wonderful people of Ketu North.

πŸ—£οΈ Key Message
The MCE charged us all to embrace Consumer Patriotism. With over US$2 billion spent annually on food imports, it is time to prioritize our local rice, chicken, and produce. When we eat what we grow, we support our farmers and secure our economy!
We also highlighted key interventions supporting our farmers, including the Weta Irrigation Scheme rehabilitation, the β€œNkoko Nketenkete” poultry programme, and the School Feeding Programme's local procurement policy.

πŸ† The Champions
A massive congratulations to Hon. Wonder Pomevor for emerging as the Overall Best Farmer! He drove home a brand-new tricycle to boost his operations.

Congratulations also to all our award winners who received motorbikes, TV sets, sprayers, and farming tools. Your hard work feeds us all.

Ayekoo to our Farmers! πŸŒΎπŸŒ½πŸ…

The Avenor Rural Bank recently demonstrated its commitment to supporting the local agricultural community by paying a courtesy call to the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) at the Assembly offices. This visit was specifically aimed at expressing the bank's solidarity and support for the upcoming 41st National Farmers Day Celebrations scheduled to take place at Dekpor. The bank's delegation met with the MCE, Municipal Coordinating Director and the Municipal Agric Director to formally announce their contribution and discuss the significance of the event in recognizing the hard work and vital role of farmers in the municipality.

To tangibly support the celebration and directly benefit the award-winning farmers, Avenor Rural Bank made a generous donation of essential farming tools. The donation package included 60 high-quality cutlasses and 10 pairs of sturdy wellington boots. These items are intended to serve as practical rewards for the outstanding farmers who will be honored during the celebrations, aiding them in their day-to-day agricultural activities and further boosting their productivity. This gesture underscores the bank's dedication to the economic development of the area, particularly in the crucial agricultural sector.
