I have donated medical equipment, consisting of 3no. 10 litres oxygen concentrators, 10 delivery beds, 2no. 2.5lit suction machines, 20no. Digital BP monitors, 10no. Nebulisers, 1 table top fridge, and 50 boxes of disposable gloves, to the Director of Health for distribution to selected health facilities to enhance healthcare services in the district. May the daily utilisation of this equipment at the various facilities bring blessings and grace to patients as we progress.

The surfacing of the 1911 Road at Peki, the Hospital Road, and the Bob Marley Road marks a significant improvement in the infrastructure, promising greater comfort and reliability for road users. This development will even be greater throughout the district with the advent of the District Road Improvement Program (DRIP), which aims to rehabilitate key road networks to enhance accessibility and economic activities.

One of the critical impacts of this program is the reduction of post-harvest losses. Poor road conditions have long been a challenge for farmers in the area, as transporting goods to markets often leads to damage and delays, resulting in significant losses. With improved road surfaces, the transport of agricultural products, especially perishables, will be faster and safer, reducing the likelihood of spoilage.

The DRIP initiative not only ensures smoother and safer journeys but also directly benefits the local economy by improving the efficiency of the supply chain. As transportation becomes more reliable, farmers can get better prices for their produce, boosting their income and contributing to food security.

Great news for the people of South Dayi! In our continuous effort to improve water and sanitation across the district, we are pleased to announce the successful completion of 5 boreholes in various communities. These boreholes will provide much-needed access to clean and safe drinking water, directly impacting the health and well-being of our residents.
Additionally, we have commenced the construction of 10 more boreholes, including those in selected schools across the district. This initiative is part of our commitment to ensure that every community and school has access to reliable water sources, supporting both education and public health.
We believe that access to clean water is a basic right, and we will continue to work tirelessly to improve water and sanitation infrastructure across South Dayi. Together, we can build a healthier and stronger community.

The Eastern Corridor Road project connects the national capital, Accra, to the northern part of the country. When completed, it will be the shortest route from the south to the north of the country. As a commercial District, the Kpeve stretch had seen a significant progress and is renowned for the transportation of especially agricultural farm produce, including maize, cassava, rice, and yam, from the vast arable lands.
The road project upon completion will address the needs of an estimated 230,000 people and impact the lives of over 5.4 million inhabitants by reducing travel and transit time, supporting education and health services delivery, and transforming the agricultural potentials of the rural areas.

I am pleased to announce that today, as District Chief Executive, I had the honor of inaugurating the District Road Safety Committee. This initiative is a crucial step towards ensuring safer roads and communities for everyone in our district.
In 2011, the National Road Safety Authority, in collaboration with the Local Government Service, developed guidelines to assist in mainstreaming road safety interventions into the work plans and budgets of Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs). Following these guidelines, we have formed a robust and dedicated committee to address road safety challenges effectively.
The composition of our District Road Safety Committee includes:
1. The District Coordinating Director (Chairman)
2. The District Police Commander
3. A Representative from the Ghana News Agency
4. A Representative from the Traditional Authority
5. A Representative from the Transport Union
6. The Focal Person and Coordinator (Transport Officer)
7. A Representative from the Road Safety Authority
8. Director of Health
9. District Works Engineer
Together, we will work diligently to implement road safety measures, raise awareness, and ensure the safety and well-being of all road users in our district. Your support and cooperation are vital as we embark on this important journey.
