๐Ÿฉบ FREE HYPERTENSION SCREENING EXERCISE FOR STAFF

As part of activities marking World Hypertension Day, the Keta Municipal Health Directorate organized a free hypertension screening exercise for staff of the Keta Municipal Assembly on Friday, 5th June 2026.

The exercise provided staff with free blood pressure checks, lifestyle and dietary counselling, and referral services for further medical attention where necessary. The initiative aimed to promote awareness of hypertension, encourage regular health screening, and support healthy living among staff.

The Keta Municipal Assembly encourages all staff to prioritize their health through regular check-ups and healthy lifestyle choices.

๐Ÿงน National Sanitation Day Exercise โ€“ Saturday, 6th June 2026

The Keta Municipal Assembly invites all staff, Assembly Members of the affected Electoral Areas, and the general public to actively participate in the upcoming National Sanitation Day Exercise scheduled for Saturday, 6th June 2026.

The exercise will take place within the communities of Dzelukope, Vui, and Tetekorpe as part of efforts to promote environmental cleanliness, improve public health, and create a cleaner municipality for all.

โฐ Time: 5:30 a.m. (for briefing and deployment)

Residents, community groups, institutions, traditional authorities, youth groups, and other stakeholders are encouraged to participate. We particularly urge the Assembly Members for the Dzelukope, Vui, and Tetekorpe Electoral Areas to mobilize their constituents and actively support the exercise.

Your participation will contribute significantly to the success of the exercise and demonstrate our collective commitment to environmental sanitation and community development.

๐Ÿ“ Keta Municipal Assembly Holds First Ordinary Meeting of the Third Session of the Ninth Assembly

The Keta Municipal Assembly on Monday, 25th May 2026, held the First Ordinary Meeting of the Third Session of the Ninth Assembly at the Assembly Hall, Keta.

The meeting brought together Hon. Assembly Members, Heads of Departments, traditional leaders, stakeholders, and members of the press to discuss key development issues and policies aimed at improving service delivery and promoting sustainable development within the Municipality.

Delivering the Sessional Address, the Hon. Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Wisdom Bondieu Seade, highlighted achievements and ongoing interventions in the areas of security, education, health, sanitation, agriculture, youth employment, climate action, infrastructure development, and social protection.

The Assembly also deliberated on the Executive Committee Report, development projects, waste management initiatives, and other important matters geared towards enhancing local governance and community development.

The session was adjourned after fruitful deliberations and renewed commitment towards the growth and development of the Keta Municipality.

KETA NADMO ENGAGES WOMENโ€™S GROUP ON DISASTER PREPAREDNESS
Keta NADMO on Friday, 18th April 2026, engaged members of the Womenโ€™s Home and Overseas Missionary Society of the A.M.E. Zion Church, Keta District, during their Missionary Mass Meeting at Living Hope Society, Tegbi Ashiata.
The session focused on disaster preparedness as the rainy season approaches. Participants were educated on staying alert to weather conditions such as heavy rainfall, windstorms, and thunderstorms.
Practical safety measures discussed included clearing gutters to prevent flooding, securing roofing sheets, identifying safe shelters, and cutting down weak trees to reduce risks. Fire safety was also highlighted, with emphasis on the proper handling and safe placement of gas cylinders.
Special attention was given to the vulnerability of women and children during disasters. Participants were encouraged to take active roles in promoting safety and supporting Keta NADMO as community volunteers.
Keta NADMO expressed appreciation to Rev. Godson Kwabla Ocloo, Presiding Elder of A.M.E. Zion Church, Keta District, Miss Aurelia Tudzi, District President of W.H. & O.M.S., and the leadership of the Society for the invitation and warm reception.
