Since these are our own NPP internal elections, I humbly appeal that we all exercise caution in how we conduct our campaigns for our preferred candidates, because the main opposition party, the NDC, is eager to take advantage of our rhetoric

Today on GHOneTV, I made it clear that while I strongly condemn the violent actions in Kukurantumi, the police and National Security must up their game. I also noted President Mahama’s call that Ghana has not yet exhausted every option to end the menace of galamsey, it’s time for leadership and bold action beyond rhetoric.

I am so happy I am hearing Mr President speak this way and telling the people the reality. So the previous administration, when we were speaking to the issues, we were not speaking about the issues as if we were dropped from some planets, but that was the reality.

BLACK WEDNESDAY – A NATIONAL TRAGEDY

Today, our nation weeps.

I am heartbroken by the tragic loss of Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Minister for Defence; Hon. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, Minister for Environment; three senior officials; and a three-member crew in the devastating helicopter crash en route to Obuasi.

As a former Minister of State and Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Defence and Interior, I mourn deeply with the nation. These were devoted servants of the Republic who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

May their heroic souls rest in perfect peace. My thoughts and prayers are with their families, and with a grieving nation.

Rest in Power, Daddy Lumba 💔🎶

Ghana has lost a true music icon. The passing of Charles Kojo Fosu, affectionately known as Daddy Lumba, is a heartbreak too heavy for words. For over four decades, his voice was the soundtrack of our lives — telling our stories, soothing our pain, and lifting our spirits.

He was not just a legend; he was a movement. A musical prophet whose lyrics cut through generations, cultures, and hearts. Daddy Lumba gave us timeless classics, but more than that, he gave us memories — weddings, heartbreaks, celebrations, and quiet moments — all wrapped in melody.

His journey here may have ended, but his legacy will echo forever in our hearts and speakers.

Rest well, DL. You may be gone from this world, but your music will live on — eternally.

The President’s role in such proceedings should be procedural, not prejudicial. “The President is a conveyor belt; that is why I raised the argument that if we are not careful and cautious in due process, we could experience what we call the democracy capture, and it is very crucial,”
