Krachi East Municipal Assembly Organizes DPAT Meeting for Staff

The Krachi East Municipal Assembly has organized a District Performance Assessment Tool (DPAT) meeting for staff as part of efforts to strengthen institutional performance, accountability and effective service delivery.

The meeting brought together key management members and staff of the Assembly to discuss the DPAT assessment process, performance indicators and the need for proper documentation of activities undertaken by the various departments and units.

Present at the meeting were the Municipal Coordinating Director, the Municipal Finance Officer, the Management Information System Officer, heads of departments and units, as well as other members of staff.

The participants were taken through the various requirements of the DPAT assessment and encouraged to ensure that relevant records, reports and supporting documents were properly kept and made available for assessment.

Management emphasized the importance of teamwork, accountability, effective financial management, proper record-keeping and timely reporting in improving the Assembly’s overall performance.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for heads of departments and units to identify areas requiring improvement and to strengthen collaboration towards achieving the development objectives of the Krachi East Municipality.

The Assembly urged all staff to remain committed to their respective responsibilities and work together to ensure a successful DPAT assessment and improved service delivery to residents.

KRACHI EAST MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY MOVES TO BOOST GOVERNANCE SCORE; ORIENTS STAFF ON REVISED DPAT INDICATORS**

DAMBAI (O/R) – May 15, 2026 — The Krachi East Municipal Assembly has organized a crucial stakeholders' meeting to orient and strategize on the newly revised indicators for the District Performance Assessment Tool (DPAT) X and XI.
The management and sensitization session, spearheaded by the Assembly’s Focal Persons, commenced at 9:00 AM today at the Municipal Assembly Hall in Dambai, the Oti Regional capital.
The meeting brought together key technocrats, department heads, and assembly officials to dissect the updated benchmarks required for the upcoming performance assessments.
Strengthening Local Governance and Compliance
The District Performance Assessment Tool (DPAT) is a national framework used to evaluate Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) on compliance, financial management, service delivery, and institutional governance. Assemblies that pass the rigorous assessment secure funding under the District Assemblies Common Fund - Responsiveness Factor Grant (DACF-RFG) to execute critical development projects.
Speaking at the opening of the session, the organizers emphasized that the introduction of the revised DPAT X and XI indicators requires proactive adjustments in administrative and financial reporting.
Staying ahead of these revised indicators is not just about passing an assessment; it directly impacts our ability to secure the developmental funds needed to transform the lives of our people in Krachi East," a representative noted.

Alignment with Ongoing Municipal Infrastructure Drive
The orientation comes at a high-intensity period for the municipality. The Assembly, under the leadership of Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Safo Nketia, is currently executing major urban upgrades, including the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) to reshape Dambai township roads, alongside preparations to construct a Model One 24-Hour Economy Market.
Participants at the meeting were urged to maintain strict compliance with the new indicators—particularly regarding procurement, financial transparency, and project execution—to ensure the Assembly retains its high ranking on the national District League Table.
The technical sessions focused on a department-by-department breakdown of responsibilities, setting clear timelines for data compilation and self-assessment ahead of the official national verification team's arrival.
