Today marks a significant milestone in my life as I turn 65. I want to take this moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you—family, friends, colleagues, supporters, and even those whose criticisms have helped me grow.

I am immensely grateful to God for the gift of life, good health, and the opportunity to serve as your Member of Parliament for the Shama Constituency. Your continued support and trust have fueled my commitment to work for the betterment of our community.

On Tuesday, 18th June, 2024, I administered the successful signing of the much awaited 12 billion USD agreement between the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation and TCP-UIC Consortium for the development of the first phase of the Petroleum Hub project in the Jomoro Municipal Area. This project which aims at positioning Ghana as the destination for energy trading in the West Africa sub-region, will also accelerate the growth of Ghana’s petroleum downstream sub-sector and make it a major player in the economy. The project also envisages an employment of 680,000 people.

As a Member of the Board of Petroleum Hub Development Corporation, I am exhilarated by the success of this agreement despite the seemingly insurmountable odds that coupled the negotiations. It is my fervent hope that the vision for this project will come to fruition.

"Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, it will not tarry..." Habakkuk 2:3.

The wait is finally over! 🚧 On January 7th 2021, when I was sworn-in to represent the people of Shama as a legislature in the Parliament of Ghana, I promised to ensure that our dilapidated roads are fixed. The journey has never been a smooth one; from making statements and asking questions at the plenary to chasing contractors, road ministers to the Presidency. However, I wish to say that all efforts never fell on deaf ears. I have formally been informed by the contractor that they are moving to site to commence the construction.

A big thanks to the President of the Republic, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and everyone for their patience and support. This development will make a huge difference in our communities, ensuring safer and smoother travel for all.

Everything that happens in our lives happens for a reason. God has a reason for allowing such things to happen. We may never understand HIS wisdom but we simply have to Trust HIS will. The election did not turn out the way we had hoped. Losing an election hurts, but I've ever experienced worse. I want to take this moment to thank you for your support and encouragement over the course of the primary. Thank you for coming out to vote.
God will definitely speak.
