I am Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary And Cultural Village in the Afadzato South District of the Volta Region of the Republic Ghana.
It will interest you to know that I am home to the only rare species of the True Mona Monkeys left in the whole of West Africa. They live in a beautiful, serene floral sanctuary surrounding very hospitable human settlement of close to 1500 in population.
I have very well seasoned tour guides and relevant working staff who care for you during all of your stay. They conduct you round all the best tourist attractions in the Central Cell of the beautiful Volta Region.
These guides lodge you in these serene local homes where you meet your friendly host families. You live with them for as long as you want and have a real feel of the Ghanaian natural hospitality treat.
There well trained local cooks who prepare you very delicious meals of your choice and taste.
I provide entertainment options in the evenings such as listening to old fables around born fire, drumming and dancing etc. The entertainment is a whole community participation. There are drumming lessons. Also you learn about medicinal value of plants.
I have volunteer packages on the following fields; health (community clinics), teaching in the local basic schools, nature conservation, the tourist information office (tour guiding) etc.
