If you took part in the elevation of Nanton by electing the people’s servant Hon. Dr. Mohammed Sherif Abdul-khaliq as the MP for Nanton, you must be very proud of yourself for making the right decision.
You didn’t just vote for an MP; you voted for competent, capable, and quality representation for Nanton.

Ever since he entered Parliament, he has represented Ghana on several occasions at the international level.
He currently serves on two parliamentary committees: the Health Committee and the Human Rights Committee.

Touching base with the people.

After commissioning a mechanized borehole for the good people of Sandu Saturday, the servant MP, Hon Dr Mohammed Sherif Abdul-khaliq proceeded to J J K where he honoured an invitation by the International women's fellowship. He also participated in Maulid ceremony at Zieng. He then visited the following communities: Fazihini, Kparigilanyili and Sahanaayili. At Kparigilanyili and Sahanaayili, the MP presented grinding mails to the women of those communities.

Touching base with the people.

The venerable MP Hon Dr Mohammed Sherif Abdul-khaliq yesterday visited following communities in the Nanton Constituency: Moya, Dohi,Goluri, Guntingli, Gbiŋnayili and Kpunduli.

Today is another day. We begin at Sandu with the commissioning of a mechanized borehole for the good people of Sandu.

DR. KHALIQ SUPPORTS FLOOD VICTIMS IN ACCRA

The Member of Parliament for the Nanton Constituency, Hon. Dr. Mohammed Sherif Abdul-khaliq has extended humanitarian support to constituents from Nanton residing in Accra who were affected by the recent floods that struck parts of the capital.

The donation forms part of the MP's continued commitment to standing with his constituents during difficult times and ensuring that those affected receive immediate relief.
The items presented included:
100 student mattresses
50 bags of rice
17 boxes of cooking oil, with each box containing 12 bottles.

Speaking during the presentation, the Honourable member reaffirmed his dedication to the welfare of the people of Nanton, regardless of where they reside. He noted that the donation was intended to ease the hardship faced by victims as they recover from the devastating effects of the floods. He also used the opportunity to thank them for returning home to vote for him and the liberation of the constituency during the 2024 general elections.

The beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the MP for his timely intervention, describing the gesture as a demonstration of his compassion, responsiveness, and unwavering commitment to the well-being of his constituents.

The support has been welcomed as another example of Hon. Dr. Mohammed Sherif Abdul-Khaliq's people-centred leadership and his resolve to provide assistance whenever his constituents are in need.

*Dr. Khaliq Calls on Paramount Chief of Nyolugu Traditional Area*

The Member of Parliament for the Nanton Constituency, Hon. Dr. Mohammed Sherif Abdul-khaliq on Tuesday, 30th June 2026, paid a courtesy call on the newly enskinned Paramount Chief of the Nyolugu Traditional Area, Naa Ablai Yiri

The visit was to introduce himself to the Paramount Chief as the Member of Parliament for the Nanton Constituency and to seek his guidance and support in discharging his responsibilities.

The MP, who was in Geneva, Switzerland on official assignment during the performance of the final funeral rites of the late Paramount Chief and the subsequent enskinment of the new Paramount Chief, used the opportunity to convey the government's congratulatory message to him on his elevation to the Nyolugu Paramountcy. The Paramount Chief expressed gratitude to the MP and the government for the visit and assured him of his support as the government discharges its responsibilities to the people of the Nanton constituency and Ghana at large.
