INTRODUCTION
Comfort Foundation Ghana (CFG) is an independent non-profit, non-governmental organization working in the area of viral hepatitis and HIV/Aids. The organization was founded in 2009 by a group of young health professionals after being confronted with the effects of hepatitis B in the lives of relatives and friends and the Ghanaian society at large. Comfort Foundation Ghana was official

ly registered in 2011 and is a member of the Ghana Coalition of NGOs in Health and the World Hepatitis Alliance. The running of the head office in Tamale and the program activities throughout Northern Ghana are spear headed by a small staff, supported by devoted volunteers amongst who are patients, nurses, doctors and counselors. Although not much attention is given to viral hepatitis on an international level, it remains one of the major public health challenges in Ghana with more than 10% of the population being infected. Our mission is to contribute towards the eradication of viral hepatitis and HIV/Aids in Ghana and towards the improvement of health care in this country, as well as to work on all that contributes to this goal, with special emphasis on Northern Ghana
