Dompim Market Set for Official Commissioning on 26th May 2026
The newly constructed Dompim Market will be officially commissioned on Tuesday, 26th May 2026 at 10:00 AM, in a ceremony expected to bring together local leaders, traders, and residents.
The project, spearheaded by Hon. Issah Salufu Taylor, MP, aims to give traders in Dompim a modern, organized space to conduct business. The completed facility features covered stalls, improved roofing, and paved surroundings designed to enhance hygiene and improve trading conditions.
Present at the commissioning will be Hon. Ebenezer Cobbinah, Municipal Chief Executive of Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipal Assembly, and Hon. Ebenezer Kwabena Yeboah, Presiding Member and Assemblyman for Dompim.
Officials say the market is a key step toward boosting local commerce and improving livelihoods in the area. It is expected to reduce congestion, provide shelter for traders, and create a safer, more convenient environment for both buyers and sellers.
Residents and traders in Dompim have been invited to attend the ceremony and witness the official opening of the facility.
The Dompim Market project forms part of ongoing efforts by the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipal Assembly to upgrade market infrastructure across the municipality.
