*I WILL BE THIRD TIME LUCKY- ALHAJI TAHIRU ISSAHAKU MOOMIN*
The Municipal Chief Executive Officer of the Wa Municipal Assembly of the Upper West Region of Ghana, Alhaji Tahiru Issahaku Moomin, has told *The Voiceless Media* in an exclusive interview that he will be third time lucky when the delegates of the Wa Central constituency of the NPP vote for him to represent the constituency in election 2020.
Alhaji Tahiru it must be stated was the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the Wa constituency in election 2012 and 2016.
He polled 22,304 votes in the 2012 Parliamentary elections for the NPP but was beaten by Alhaji Abdul- Rashid Hassan Pelpuo of the NDC who had 28, 149 votes.
In the 2016 Parliamentary elections, Alhaji Issahaku Tahiru Momin was tipped to win the Wa Central Parliamentary seat for the NPP but was narrowly beaten by Alhaji Rashid Pelpuo of the NDC.
In the 2016 elections Alhaji Issahaku Tahiru Momin had 24, 748 votes and Alhaji Rashid Pelpuo had 25, 319 votes. The difference in the votes of the candidates of the NDC and the NPP was 571 votes. This was a very significant improvement from the 2012 results.
The Chief Executive Officer who is generally described as a very calm and highly accessible person is going into the September 28th primaries with four other Candidates.
He has expressed optimism about victory in the impending internal primaries in the Wa Central constityency and appeals to the delegates to vote for him so that he can use the experience he has accumulated over the years to win the Wa Central Parliamentary Seat for the NPP in 2020.
