Over 4,000 Urban Households in The Gambia Enrolled for Nafa Cash Transfer.
Over 4,000 households have been enrolled into the Nafa Cash Transfer Program under The Gambia RISE Project, that was initiated by the government of The Gambia and supported by the World Bank.
Enrolled households are set to receive D3,000 every 2 months for 18 cycles to help cover food, health, education, and farming needs .
This Support is backed by Social and Behavioral Change Communication (SBCC) sessions to build long-term stability and self-reliance.
Beneficiaries were enrolled after community validation to ensure support reaches the right households
The National Nutrition Agency, working with the Department of Community Development and Directorate of Social Welfare is rolling this out across all 36 districts and now set for a nationwide coverage with the new expansion to the Urban areas. The goal is simple: give families a regular lifeline, ease pressure on household budgets, and restore hope.
