GMA Management Undergoes Communication Strategy Training
The Management of the Gambia Maritime Administration (GMA) yesterday 12 August 2026, participated in a Communication Strategy Training held at the GMA Training Room.
The training was conducted by Mrs. Rohey Samba-Jallow, Consultant engaged to support the development of the GMA Communication Strategy.
The session provided an opportunity for Management to reflect on the importance of strategic communication in strengthening the Administrationโs public image, improving stakeholder engagement, promoting transparency and ensuring consistent communication of GMAโs mandate and activities.
Discussions focused on key areas of effective institutional communication, including strategic messaging, internal and external communication, stakeholder engagement, media relations, crisis communication and the importance of maintaining a coordinated approach to communicating the GMAโs work.
The training forms part of the broader process towards developing a comprehensive Communication Strategy for the Gambia Maritime Administration, aimed at strengthening the institutionโs communication systems and enhancing public understanding of its role in promoting maritime safety, security, environmental protection and the sustainable development of The Gambiaโs maritime sector.
