Earlier this afternoon, we collaborated with our German partner, Kreemer to conduct community dialogue on the dangers of irregular migration in Niani Kunting, in the Central River Region-North.
A total of 55 parents in the community were sensitised on the risks and life threatening dangers associated with irregular migration, including unsafe journeys by sea and desert, exploitation, human trafficking, and family separation.
Parents actively participated in discussions, shared their concerns, and committed to guiding and supporting their children to make informed and safer life choices.
The Rural Child remains committed to strengthening community awareness and protecting young people from the risks of irregular migration.
