Fake Recruitment Advertisement Alert
The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) wishes to inform the general public that a recruitment advertisement currently circulating on social media — claiming that the IEC is conducting a “Recruitment Exercise for 2026–2027” — is false and unauthorized.
The IEC has not issued any recruitment announcement for polling officers, voter registration assistants, or field support staff as stated in the said post.
We urge the public to disregard this information and avoid engaging with any unofficial links or online forms.
All authentic IEC announcements are published only through our official channels, including:
• IEC official website: https://iec.gm
• Verified social media pages
• National media outlets
The Commission remains committed to transparency and will duly notify the public through official means when recruitment processes are formally opened.
