Le Groupe d’Impact Collectif pour la Guinée lance un appel de fonds pour aider à sauver des vies en Guinée contre le coronavirus (COVID-19)

Nous sommes un groupe de professionnels guinéens, regroupés sous l'égide « Le Groupe d’Impact Collectif pour la Guinée » partageant une préoccupation commune pour aider la Guinée à lutter contre le coronavirus (COVID-190). C'est en cette période de crise que nous devons tous oublier nos différences et nous unir pour soutenir les efforts de nos communautés locales, de nos médecins, infirmières afin de minimiser les effets néfastes de cette pandémie.

Nos objectifs sont les suivants :

1- Assistance financière : Pour assister les groupes les plus vulnérables ayant les travaux les plus précaires dans la société,

2- Nécessité : pour apporter des vivres aux familles les plus démunies,

3- Nouvelles technologies : pour aider à identifier les contaminés et suivre les contacts,

4- Levée de fonds : pour aider à acheter des fournitures médicales comme les kits de dépistages et équipements individuels pour les travailleurs en première ligne.

Dear brothers and sisters, friends, colleagues from around the world.

I’m writing to invite you to join a Group of dedicated Guineans in helping Guinea fight the Coronavirus. The Collective Impact Group for Guinea (CIGG) is a grassroots response to help Guinea’s fight against the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

We are a group of Guinean professionals, sharing a common interest in helping Guinea defeat the virus. It is in this time of crisis that we must all forget our differences and come together to support the efforts of the Guinean Government in minimizing the adverse impacts of the pandemic.

Our objectives are as follows:

1- Financial support: To assist the most vulnerable group of the community including holders of the country’s most precarious jobs;
2- Essential: To deliver food to struggling families;
3- New technology: To help identify and track citizens with the Coronavirus symptoms;
4- Fundraising: To help buy medical supplies including kits and other requirements for front line workers.

As the Guinea Government's Response Plan outlines a funding need of at least US$75 million for critical response efforts, I hope you will accept my invitation because Guineans needs your help.

As citizens of Guinea, we are reunited under the Collective Impact Group to assist the Government and the people of Guinea to act immediately to prepare, respond, and recover during this time of epidemics.

Our Mission:

Drawing on the country’s experience with other outbreaks such as Ebola, the group will help the people of Guinea to urgently and effectively respond to COVID-19 as part of its mission to eradicate poverty, reduce inequalities and build resilience to crises and shocks. The groups’ support will also help ensure that the responses of individual parties are comprehensive as well as equitable and inclusive, so that no one is left out and the Government of Guinea can continue to make progress in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
