The European Public Law Organization strengthened its presence at the United Nations General Assembly High-Level Week in New York this year, with a focused EPLO delegation participating in activities and maintaining a consistent presence in the General Assembly Hall throughout the week.

A highlight of EPLO's presence was the High-Level Side Event“Cultural Heritage at Stake: Addressing Looting, Illicit Trafficking and Restitution through International Law, Operational Cooperation & Cultural Diplomacy,” co-organised by the Permanent Mission of Greece to the United Nations and the Permanent Mission of Italy to the United Nations, in cooperation with EPLO.

The event brought together senior government representatives and international experts, including Lina Mendoni, Minister of Culture of Greece; Alexandra Papadopoulou, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece; Edmondo Cirielli, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy; the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, who also addressed the event; and Nayef Al-Fayez, UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Culture, who addressed the event by video message.
