Am descoperit că pe insulă există un muzeu al uleiului de măsline. Se numește Fabbrica Olive Oil Museum și se află în satul montan Syvros. Bineînțeles că nu puteam rata ocazia de a-l vizita. 😊

Muzeul este amenajat în incinta unei foste mori de ulei de măsline care funcționează încă din 1830.
În Lefkada se cultivă aproximativ șase soiuri de măslini, cele mai cunoscute fiind Koroneiki și Manaki.
Am participat și la o degustare de ulei de măsline, măsline și dulceață de ardei iute, produse chiar aici.
Uleiul de măsline din soiul Koroneiki are o aromă foarte intensă, ușor picantă.
Ne-am cumpărat o sticlă pentru acasă. Are un gust pe care nu l-am mai întâlnit nicăieri.
