On Thursday, April 2, 2026, the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps - Greece held a graduation ceremony to mark the successful completion of the Internship Program 2025/II. The event celebrated the achievements and contributions of the twelve (12) interns who participated in the program, alongside their invited family members and guests.

The ceremony was led by the Chief of Staff, Major General Vasileios KIOUSIS, who commended the interns for their dedication, professionalism, and active engagement throughout their training period. Commemorative certificates of participation were awarded to all interns in recognition of their efforts and accomplishments, while each participant also received a letter of recommendation highlighting their performance and the valuable skills they developed.

On Tuesday, 24 March 2026, the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps - Greece (NRDC-GR) Headquarters held a solemn and dignified ceremony to commemorate the Hellenic National Day, honoring the Greek War of Independence of 25 March 1821.

The ceremony was officiated by the Commander of NRDC-GR, Lieutenant General (GRC A) Grigorios BOUNTLIAKIS, and attended by distinguished civil and military authorities, including Mr. Asterios KOMMATAS, Representative of the Head of the Prefecture of Central Macedonia; Mr George ARVANITIS, Representative of the Mayor of Thessaloniki; and Mrs. Katerina TSAPIKIDOU, Head of the Office of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Thessaloniki. Their presence, alongside the Consuls of the participating nations Albania, Bulgaria, France, Türkiye, and the USA and NRDC-GR personnel, highlighted the strong bonds between the Hellenic Republic, NATO Allies, and the local community.

During the flag ceremony, the Chief of Staff of NRDC-GR addressed the audience in his capacity as the Senior National Representative at NRDC-GR.

Then the commemorative event unfolded in a respectful and ceremonial atmosphere at the Military Officer’s Club, reflecting the historical weight and symbolic importance of the day.

In his address, the Commander emphasized that the Greek War of Independence remains a powerful symbol of courage, unity, and resilience, with the ideals of liberty and self-determination continuing to guide the Hellenic Armed Forces and the Greek people today. He noted that these same principles are reflected within NRDC-GR’s multinational environment, where Allied personnel work side by side in a spirit of mutual trust and shared commitment to collective defense.

On Friday 20 March 2026, personnel of NATO Rapid Deployable Corps - Greece (NRDC-GR) organized a one-day cultural visit for its personnel and their families in the wider area of Naoussa.
The cultural visit brought NRDC-GR participants to the remarkable archaeological site of Aristotle’s School and the excavation site of tombs, where they had the opportunity to explore the rich historical heritage of the region.
Such initiatives reflect NRDC-GR ongoing commitment to promoting meaningful engagement and team connection beyond the workplace.

On Friday, 12th December 2025, NATO Rapid Deployable Corps - Greece (NRDC-GR) staff and their families came together to celebrate the holiday season with our Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
Lieutenant General Athanasios GARINIS, our Commander, wished happy holidays to the personnel and their families, while gifts were offered to the children. The festive atmosphere was completed by the sounds of our Military Band playing Christmas songs.
