Pelion is a beautiful location in Magnisia, Greece and Agios Dimitrios is one of it's quiet, peaceful villages. It is located on a hill, 10 minutes ride from Agios Ioannis, Pelion - Αγιος Ιωάννης, Πήλιο Beach and 20 minutes ride from Pilio's Ski Center.
The traditional architecture of the area, using stone, wood and characteristic stone tiles, is subject of protection and preservation from the Ministry of Culture, fact that ensures the quality of the built surroundings.
The breathtaking landscape and the local architectural tradition is what inspired the design of this project.

Στο Πήλιο, μια από τις ομορφότερες περιοχές της Ελλάδας, βρίσκεται το ήσυχο χωριό του Αγίου Δημητρίου. Σε υψόμετρο 300 μέτρων, 10 λεπτά δρόμο από την κοντινότερη παραλία Agios Ioannis, Pelion - Αγιος Ιωάννης, Πήλιο και 20 λεπτά από το χιονοδρομικό κέντρο Πηλίου.
Η παραδοσιακή αρχιτεκτονική της περιοχής πουχρησιμοποιεί σαν δομικά υλικά την πέτρα, το ξύλο και τις χαρακτηριστικές στέγες από σχιστόλιθο, είναι αντικείμενο προστασίας από το Υπουργείο Πολιτισμού, πράγμα που διασφαλίζει την ποιότητα του δομημένου περιβάλλοντος.
Το υπέροχο τοπίο και η αρχιτεκτονική παάδοση του τόπου ενέπνευσαν το σχεδιασμό αυτού του έργου

Dreamy life in Pilio, Greece

The Pelion Area

Pelion or Pilio is a mountain at the southeastern part of Magnesia in central Greece, forming a hook-like peninsula between the Pagasetic Gulf and the Aegean Sea. Its highest summit, Pourianos Stavros, is 1,610 metres (5,280 ft) amsl. The Greek National Road 38 (GR-38) runs through the southern portion of the peninsula and GR-38A runs through the middle.

The mountain is thickly forested, with both deciduous and perennial forests, mainly of beech, oak, maple and chestnut trees, with plane tree groves surrounding places with water. Pelion is considered one of the most beautiful mountains in Greece and is a popular tourist attraction throughout the year: hiking trails and stone paths give access to springs, coves and numerous beaches, sandy or pebbly, set among lusciously green slopes. Pelion is an amply watered mountain with an abundance of springs, gorges, streams and rivulets; many streams are routed in carved-stone artificial beds to bring water to the villages and their thriving orchards. The higher elevations of the mountain receive enough snowfall so as to host skiing facilities that operate from Christmas to Easter.

Agios Dimitrios is a traditional village of Pilio, the famous land of the mythical centaurs. It is located about 40klm east of the city of Volos. The village is built on a hill of 300m altitude and orientation North East.

Only 5klm away, Agios Ioannis, a magical sandy beach is found, famous for its crystal clear waters, awarded with the blue flag.

Agios Dimitrios is the perfect location for all seasons tourism as it is very close to the sea and to the ski center. The village is quiet and picturesque and the residents friendly. It is ideal for health tourism, sports, relaxation and rejuvenation.
