Ever wondered what we mean when we post about consular services?

Consular services are what Canadian officers at 260 points of service around the world can do to help you while you’re living or travelling outside Canada.

These services can include:

✅replacing a lost or stolen passport

✅contacting your next of kin if you get hurt or arrested

✅providing information about the local legal or health care system

Consular services do not include:

❌paying legal or medical fees

❌ getting you out of jail or seeking preferential treatment

❌ paying for your hotel or reimbursing costs if your trip is delayed or cancelled

Remember: It is your decision to travel, and you are responsible for your own personal safety and well-being. The ability of the Government of Canada to provide assistance may be limited.

Don’t risk a 5-year inadmissibility ban!

Thousands of applications are rejected each month due to immigration fraud. People who get caught submitting fake and fraudulent documents in their Canadian visa application are legally barred from entering or remaining in Canada for at least 5 years.

Always provide genuine documents. It’s not worth the consequences.
