On July 21, 2025, the 721st Army Band marched in the Guam Liberation Day Parade in Hagåtña, supporting the event with ceremonial music. Their performance contributed to both the commemorative and celebratory spirit of the day as Guam marked the 81st anniversary of its liberation.

This annual event honors the liberation of Guam by U.S. forces in July 1944 after years of Japanese occupation during World War II. The 3rd Marine Division spearheaded the assault, landing on the western beaches and engaging in intense combat. The 305th Regiment, 77th Infantry Division followed as the primary follow-on force to sustain the operation and secure the island.

While the parade celebrates Guam’s freedom and resilience, it is also a moment of solemn remembrance for those who gave their lives in the defense and liberation of the Marianas.
